Known issues
MAJOR
:arrow: Still getting No Free Edict Errors (ED_Alloc:no free edicts)
- Using "-num_edicts 4096" in the HLDS switches, and having the server restart when it is empty ("ms_reset_if_empty 1" in server.cfg), combined with giving another minute or two leeway for restarts seems to help alleviate this problem quite a bit, if not eliminate it.
:idea: No one with SC under 5 can cast any spells

Minor
:idea: admin_gag only works on certain players
:idea: Bolts/arrows stacks report wrong or produce invisible, difficult to manage stacks
- Fix pending new client patch
:idea: monstesr/base_react.script script missing in gate city (typo)
:idea: Olof even crazier than usual
:idea: Some folks can't delete their characters

Aesthetic
:idea: Parts of body vanishing after using ice shield or otherwise gaining a glow shell
- slash sudden appearance of breasts
:arrow: Submodel body scrambles / armor protruding, in char selection screen
• When first created, female characters are male on char selection screen
• Female model quivers when wearing leather armor
• Female model is fugly as sin

Ancient/Perpetual
Known Ancient bugs:
- All entities invisible bug (type kill in console to cure).
- Lights/sprites not going away / sticking to other objects (Sticky client-side effects)
- Occasionally a weapon/spell will stop doing damage until it is unequipped then re-equipped.
- Can't use charge attack in laggy conditions. (Work around: use +special or +uber)
- Sitting animation bugs (sometimes saves to character for awhile)
- All water sometimes goes white (texture stretch bug, restart)
- Typing issues in chat. Especially with European keyboards.
- Various Health/mana indicator madness (see also yonder)
- Small sack holds stuff it should not.
- Ticket Bank freaks if you have more than one of the ticket or item you are trying to trade
--> Galat chest does not have this issue.
- Double attack bug, most prominant with xbows
- All tomahawks appear as fire tomahawks in third person

Also Not liable to go away soon:
- Some monsters still capable of some acts while frozen (jumping, etc.)
- Orion Bow jamming sometimes, (I've no idea how to fix this without dropping the whole charged weapon concept.)
- Jumping from server to server without closing HL screws with FN functionality (solution: Close half-life before joining another game.)

Resolved from JAN2010a:
• Fixed chests on Kfortress
• Fixed Neck Hunter on Kfortress
• Fixed doors on Aleyesu
• /stuck should work on disconnected maps
• Players should be sent to nearby random ms_player_spawn's at spawn
• Teleporters with multiple destinations will now send players to one at random
• Fixed DMG/HP Multi XP passing (v. big for Shad Palace, Kfortress, and Isleofdread1)
• Can't use Dragon Axe while sitting or unable to attack
• Dragon Axe will be unable to push a few oversized monsters
- Still works on nearly anything with under 10k HP though
• Max View Distance map settings should now work
- Requires both client and server have patch
• Rebuild of Fire Elemental
- COF now works, but requires both client and server have patch
• Helena Bandit Boss should no longer crash
- Well... At least not from precache errors
• Fixed buggered "items/base_treasurechest_new" chest script in Nash
• Fixed poisons spores not creating clouds at right locations
- Some fundamental stuff needs to be fixed in dlls/weapons/giprojectiles.cpp
• Fixed bugged hitchance on some classic goblins
• Fixed bugged orc bow on Chapel
• Fixed fog persistence between maps
• Fixed some item-ownership related activation scripts
• Frostbow now gives 75% cold resist as advertised
• Fixed Shad using wrong submodel during eye summon (untested)
• Fixed/work-around some bugs with the Iron Golem
• Fixed Runegahr teleport system on Shad Palace
• Fixed some duplicating chest bugs
• Fixed storing of magic hands
• Fixed some remaining bugs with the g. ice blade (mana cost also reduced)
• Fixed wrong charm dishing out on some maps
• Nerfed some monster multipliers
• Fixed various exploits
• Running an illegal map on FN will reset server to Edana on next restart

Resolved from JAN2010b:
• Blinding poison not so blinding
• Thanatos chest not spawning
• Winter wolf pets >3000hp not freezing targets with howl
• 1h Axes cause shield or axe in other hand to “double submodel” or otherwise display the wrong model
- Still may happen with potions, but not shields

just saying, upon spawn, all my items cept bag of holding and whatever was inside, were gone

Same thing happened to my alt.

Mine spawned with just a Bloodstone ring and an empty sheathe :p

Just going to put this here, before my first rollback I pitted a greater thunderaxe ticket on purpose, the first time I reconnected after that it was back but I had the same inventory problem, so the rollback certainly worked but I had the same issue.
But FN seemed to be a bit off and on as far as the connection, characters flashing on the selection screen.
So it might just be an FN error we're all having at the same time.

Also my alt and it's galat chest seemed to be fine.

I'll confirm that FN does seem to be acting strangely. I hosted my own server and I didn't click my character for about 30 seconds because it kept flickering on and off with a few "Loading..." pauses. Never had this problem before.

There might be some funkyness on the char selection screen due to the way the model tracking for it works now (it won't be right until after you connect and are in world - and even then might not be right if your various characters are different sexes). It may also take a few moments for the char selection screen to update, as it has to read more char data than it used to.

However, this bit with characters losing their stuff is a more frightening issue. It's not happening to everyone, nor every character... Best hope is we can find a commonality between the affected characters ASAP, and fix whatever it maybe. Without knowledge of that commonality, development would come to a stand-still. :/

From reading the changelog it could be something to do with using a certain cotainer and item combination... I know my character had arrows/bolts in my backpack and quiver. I know I had weapons in my backpack, quiver and sheathe.

When i was on my character the only container i had was my lboh but if i hit the "1" key i could still get all my weapons to show up at least i think i didn't have my weapon sheathe. i couldn't open my chest either to see if anything was in there :(.

I couldn't check for my items... I no free edict almost instantly (No matter the map). Not testing now as I'm waiting for a roll-back.

i am not going to go looking to see what i got and don't got now i also waiting lol

After the roll back I had a spell book (which I think I had the first time, not a sheathe, my mistake) and a blood stone ring. It had all my spells in. I still have all my memorized spells too. Zero weapons though (pressing 1 does nothing).

Again, this happened before I'd even joined a game. The initial character on the select screen was bear.

I didn't have any of these problems, but maybe the flickering on the character selection menu caused people to click more than once.
I noticed a big lag every 7-10 seconds or so, on every servers including mine. Might be due to FN tweaks maybe?
Anndd I forgot what my main point was...
Two more things, skills are still capped at 40, and I always hated the blademasters/masons due to their annoyance and serious lack of exp. If a non-ramped one gave like 400-500 instead of 200 I might like them a bit more :wink:.

After my rollback all that i noticed different was that i had aob in my lboh and not pa i do remember seeing my wep strap i can't remember if i did the fist time i played though :|

I will admit I had to click my character about 30 times to get it to load. I did do single, paitent clicks but that was not working. Also as I stated. My character looked bare on the select screen the first time I launched it and after my two roll backs. Something has broken my character before I ever log on to it...

i clicked mine a few times and nothing happened to i ust reconnected to server and then i could connect like normal :|

maybe it's happening to those who had stacks of bolts/arrows before patch and went kablooey when patched?

cause my main had ammo, and it's missing items, but both my alts had no munitions and they're fine

Pretty sure I had multiple types of arrows and bolts, in my bag and quiver.

i know i had a 100 stack or two i don't know about alts i don't know if they are missing items though either they still got their crest though so i didn't really look into it :| mine would have been in my backpack i don't use quiver

I'd be surprised if this is supposed to be intentional, so here goes:
In the_wall, just before you face the ice reaver, there's a func_breakable with 99999 HP. Yes, I checked in BSP Viewer and no, it has no spawn flags. The ice reaver attacks it, but unless you attack it, too, it will just take a very long time for it to break. I really don't see the point of this entity.

I'm not sure what Skillasaur's idea was either - couldn't quite figure that bit out.

My translation of it is that it's to lure you into starting to wack on the wall. About 10-15 seconds later, you hear the reaver carving through on the other side. He busts through at about 20 secs.

Hey i noticed when you cast an ice shield you turn into a headless chick.
btw Apart from that both my main (Raider_666axe) and alt (rectifier666) lost EVERYTHING (except spellbook on main)

Skillasaur: I never added any insanely high health breakable. I also have no idea where the ice reaver is as I never had any mobs on my map.

He has no idea lol. A screenshot of said wall would be nice he says.

Ice reaver wasn't there, but the series of breakables and multi_manager was... Made no sense to me as the breakables on the other side of that one break first, and you can't see them. So I thought maybe he was trying to simulate something making racket on the other side.

Good to know he's still around though - I'll have to get his map source back to him.
