Brass Knuckles, those would rock! They could have virtually no weight, but increase melee dmg by like 0.1 or 0.2 per lvl!! :D

The Assasins Gloves maybe out, due to the fact that the guy who was supposed to make them abandoned us, and I don't see much coming from Orochi either.

The Demon's Claws I maybe able to do, but I only have a view model for them atm.

I'll do ya one better...

Demon Claws:

Concept was a set of MA claws that did insane damage and gave you a speed boost, but also slowly drained your HP. Just need a player/world model combo to go with that viewmodel.

Assasin's Gauntlets (l337 photoshop concept drawing):

The concept was just to add long needle like spikes on the ends of the gauntlets and do a reskin. Predictably, these add poison damage.

We also had plans for Gauntlets of Ice, and Gauntlets of Lightning - but they can simply be reskins of the existing fire Gauntlets. Was thinking of lettings those two cast spells on the double click charge.

Would be nice to get all the p_gauntlets (save the demon claws) into one model too. Jester did something odd with his p_models though - seems they have animations, unlike our usual p_models. The script doesn't reference them, so I'm not sure if they are actually needed.

Would entail altering the player model animations. V. difficult. Plus we'd have to chop up the MS 1.35 MA viewmodel to get the "megafoot" back, without the arms (although, that bit, probably less difficult.)

If you add Demon Claws, can they absorb MP instead of HP? :(

I don't want to weaken myself as I hit something (unless they truly will do MAD amounts of damage, then I am okay with it) :D

I think he means they constantly drain HP, not damage your enemy as well as you... What would happen if you were to run out of MP while wearing them? Would they drain HP then?

The speed boost shouldn't be as much as the raven mace, but still noticeable, even in combat... Or do you mean attack speed?

howbout this...the demon claws thirst for blood, and lots of it...if you're not doing sufficient damage to appease them, they'll drain the remaining from your heath...killing you quite quickly if you try to use them out of combat...or against low level critters...

I meant... could they absorb your OWN MP instead of your OWN HP instead.

on that subject, all of the MSS devs should definately get dark messiah, if only for the inspiration for maps, models, spells, etc ;)

I miss the ability to kick...

If kicking strikes are put back in, I think they should be implaced as like melee's charge hit; and a kick should also send the enemy in-front of you flying back...
Perhaps as a method by which to get yourself out of a corner? :D

u should also add kicking spells :D like u know Spin Kick or sumthing and Flying kick which is like the third charge of the 2h axes only u fly higher an further u know those stuff :)


EDIT: whoops didnt read that far to jax'x message of flying kicks XD

What a necroposter... really man, look at the dates before you post. Anything talked aboutin this thread have been resolved, thrown out, or implimented. And "Kicking spells"? Wtf? sorry, I don't cast spells with m4h feet.

See previous page - model there, just needs a p_model, and we're good to go. (Might have to fit it to an existing set of gauntlet's animations)
