Not sure if anyone thout of this, i was lazy to look at all the pages :p

Anyway my ideas is like this:

Add forges to all or most towns, recipes (scrolls whit info) and materials that would drop from monsters.
So if ur lazy to farm on bosses just kill ordinary mobs which will drop ores and stuff.
Finnaly go to a forge and create your item.
It might make a new use for gold (since in MSC its almost useless on higher levels) since you could buy it from other players.

Add a standart trading window, like in most RPG's, MMORPG's like 2 windows which represent your offers and the other players whit drag'n'drop.

A inventory like in standart RPG's when you also drag and drop your equipment over a doll of your character.

Guild wars (?) Special arena where you could have guild pvp.

Personal shop. If you need to go afk you could open up a person store and set items for sale there.

PvP mode should be toggleble (like press F12 and turn on or off PvP mode) So if you want to PvP whit someone just activate PvP. To get rid of cheating there should be a limit of 5-15 seconds, like if you swinged your weapon (whit hitting or whitout anything) you ust wait 5-15 seconds to turn off Pvp mode.

(Yeah i know its mostly from MMORPG's things, but it is a MMORPG in its unique way)

I wouldn't consider MSC a mmorpg because its not a massive multipleyer online role playing game. I would think of it as just a FPS RPG game/mod.

I think the trading screen idea is a good one because if you trade, you want to make sure you don't get scammed. By dropping your items, you have to assume the other person is nice and won't just take your items.

Well it is an RPG and a MMORPG at the same time, you can play alone or whit a whole bunch of players, its a unique mix.
It is online always (because people got dedi's running), has a mass (sorta) of players and it is multiplayer.

Actually, the most accepted term around here is PORG (Persistant Online Roleplaying Game).

...or maybe that's just what I call it. <_< ... >_>

MSC has a big problem in that there is no money sink. Players will complain and complain and complain about the money sink, but damnitall there's gotta be one. Repair-costs and upkeep come to mind.
