In a transition from lostcastle_msc to foutpost on your beta server, with the most recent update, my charaacter lost all his gear aside from his felewyns light and rune sheild. All memorized spells are in tact along with everything else about the innate character. My steamid and char name are "Veil" 38 STEAM_0:1:3400510. The char last worked on the 2nd, and it was the first character slot.
As for the meaning of life you really have to consider the concious construction of our lives in respect to one's own reality. If, perchance, a person is an individualist pantheist, with the beliefe that everything is a singularity, reality would be built around that person. So the entire meaning of life would come down the sheer meaning of existance on an individual, seperate, and basic level. For this you could theoretically, imperically, mathematically, and logically discover the meaning of existance and from there infer upon the meaning of life.
On the other side of the coin, one who is a nihilist or one of similar makeup of logic and philosophy one would be broken down as thus: There is no meaning, everything is very much tangible, explainable, but NOT of any importance or tie to any other given thing aside from the fact that they exist. This is inhearantly flawed when coupled with any feild of mathematics and physics considering action only happens as a result of reaction, and thus all can be perpetuated either direction in time. This would mean that this reality isn't real and the principles we as humans base all our findings throughout history are merely manipulations of shadows. In this we have no real effect and no life, just an image of something we have come to percieve as life. From here one could discern that the purpose of this "life" is to realize it's not life at all, and transcend the world of the shadows into what is true reality.
Between these two makeups, in differeing combinations in philosophy, much like mixing blue and yellow to get green, you can create all of the worlds religons. Through religon we can have a framework of how our reality, and thus, our lives are composed. So depending on what shade of color you are, the signifigance of life shifts through a prism of purposes using the facets of the "coin" to give you hue, shade, and intensity.
