doesn't die
and hovers above thin air so u can't hit him with melee
+50 damge every 0.1 second

Atholo is the latest level 40+ boss.

He's invulnerable (can't be struck with mele nor damaged by anything else). He moves really fast. He reaches really far. And like everything else in his chamber, he can fly.

Ya gotta do something to make him vulnerable. Talk to Ryza.

Note, his movement is buggy though. Side effect of being a larger creature dealing with that room. It would have halped if I had the map source earlier, might have re-worked his concept a bit. He does get around as he should though.

The stone skeles and him are supposed to be able to climb walls, its no glitch.

Yeah, that he's supposed to be able to do.

What he's not supposed to be able to do, is walk on top of crystals and weird angles. Basically had to tweak his maxslope and stepsize to get him to navigate the maze of monsterclips that room is made up of. His minions make it look so easy.


...and unless you are super l337h4x0rZ like Shru there - you will need more than one player to defeat him.

well yea, me n oedipus were playing it and we acitvated all the elment crystalls so they all glowed and atholo said soemthing like u fools.... and we tryed everything after that.... he didn't die! so we gave up

also i think its annoying how u hitting a crystal and a ugly giant skeleton appears out of nowhere and smashes u on the head

Yeah was kinda funky when all of a sudden 4 skellys and a giant red rib appear in ur face.
But yeah we set off the colours and from calculations him being more than 10 times his hp and not more than mine calculated if i go in and pit rebuking him 2 times each time at least it would take me 100 pits ^^ although it took us a while to ge thre that was a bit much even for me.

If you get the "10x your HP warning" - it's for a reason. You are not ready - go somewhere else.

Whaa? Your supposed to activiate the crystals? I thought you have to destroy them, seeing as if you attack it with the right element, it says you hit a lightning crystal or whatever with whatever damage.

Anybody know how much hp those crystals have? Cause damn, me and my friends tried so long to destroy the crystals, but took to long. So we just quit.

You are supposed to attack the crystals with their respective elements.
You are not supposed to destroy the crystals (read: they're indestructable).
It's all about timing.

I am level 32 and I took out Athlon myself yesterday... Here is my suggestion... get a golden axe, crystal of relocation, pots of immune to fire, cold, antidote, regen, and vampire blood... That will knock them out good if you know what your doing... you will probably need like 5 pots of each!

I think the confusion comes in when ya neglect to mention that the crystals are protected by crystal shields, and those you do have to destroy before you can begin the process of activation.

wow... made it to Atholo, destroyed all the crystal shields and did what I had to do, only to find out that I don't have any lightning elemental spells since my chain lightning disapeared for some reason...
