Hello guys. Okay here is my story.

When I got home today, my brother told me he had a suprise for me. I got a little excited so he urged me to look on my computer and I was shocked. He uninstall my steam and installed a stupid cracked steam called PacSteam. So after getting angry at him, I deleted and uninstalled the program, deleted all the files that came up when I typed PacSteam in on find, and went into the registry and deleted all the keys which were related to PacSteam and were from it. Then after I ran a virus check and some other programs to be safe. Then last but not least I installed steam again and started installing my games again.

My brother also said he tested it to see if multiplayer servers would work and he said they didn't.

So anyway I really want to know if My Steam account will be disabled. Oh and my brother created a random account for PacSteam. Please tell me, I hope I don't lose my account. I am so pissed right now.

Thanks for your replies guys, yes my bro created a random account to test it. I really hope I don't get my account disabled. :-( I won't be able to play MasterSword or any of my favourite hl1 mods. More replies please.
I'm so scared for my account now....

Actually, you'll be able to play on MSC. I'm fairly certain that if they did anything, it would just be to stop you from joining any VAC secured servers. Since most MSC servers don't use VAC, you would be fine.

My information.
Since MSC is an RPG type mod, and hacking is generally useless (cept for some speedhackers, as have been around before), most server hosts (myself included) disable VAC from our servers.

So, yes, you will be just fine; even if they ban you from VAC. And should they ban you, don't bother complaining; they don't unban, even if your account is hijacked; whether or not it is their fault (Again... I bring up Bloom Mod; VAC banning people... Valve or whatever taking zero responsibility...).

Why would your own brother install pacsteam and uninstall steam from your comp? its eaither he knows your pass and is retarted or ur hiding that really you installed it. because that thing about your brother sounds kinda odd...This is just my opinion.

He uninstalled Steam because he thought that PacSteam is way better because you can download any of the games you want.

Obviously they never found out you personally used it... you still have rights on the Internet (if you live in the US, and violate one of those Internet Trade Acts, they will ban you from having personal computers & rights to the Internet for a period of time)....

As to those steam programs... first off they're stupid... and secondly, perhaps Dridje has a crappy hard-drive; like a thirty-gig or something, so he could only handle one set of GCF's at a time?

Dridje what you should do, if it's your computer (and you don't have to share it) you should password it. And password the BIOS too, especially if it's a spoiled little brother. He'll most likely become destructive once cut off from messing with your entertainment.
