Well, in all honesty it is kind of hard to spell it 'balde' three times in a row. Especially when it's clear that he knows the correct spelling, given the thread title.

I count 4 "baldes" not 3. Personally i just think that the barrier should get boosted and maybe have a new ability.
You can't have a shard be extremelly powerfull, what would happen if you were to get the apostle weapon made out of "this extremelly powerfull unholy shard".
New abilities... I personally would like to see some black smoke spell/ability that dealt heavy affliction damage and consumed a nice amount of mana to use it. Something like acid/poison cloud, but shadow/dark type (got inspired by One Piece and those new shadow creatures).

What I don't understand is... Isn't it supposed to be a defense mechanism of the sword? Why would you then have Thothie make it the primary offense for that weapon? :roll:

I dunno, go figure. For the record, i'll leave a hint that there are creatures who use similiar abilities and deal massive amounts of damage when its casted, so much for "defense mechanisms". Guess i'm done posting anything related to this subject, people seem to take it way too seriously even though it was just a suggestion this time. >_<

My post was just a poor attempt at making fun of his typos. At least I thought they were typos in till Zeus said that Balde was Portuguese for bucket. Bah.

I don't understand why a community member thinking a weapon deserves a boost in power is such a sensitive subject with the developers. It's not like anyone was insulted and I don't really feel like anyone has been ungrateful. These are just opinions and it doesn't make sense that a thread should degenerate into this over something so trivial.

"Gimma moar power! Mah stuff is weak!" from the same player gets old after the sixth or seventh time, be it true or nay. Makes me more inclined not to do anything about it, or go shoot zombies, thus not do anything about anything. I've grown to have a very limited tolerance for the same player, or handful there of, whining about the same things over and over again, save when the bug works to their advantage.

If buffing a weapon is out of the question then would it be possible to nerf the recipe? I can't see two Blood Drinkers and an entire Felewyn Shard set turn into a feeble weapon. The Blood Drinker is somewhat annoying to get as is but the Felewyn Shards are tedious and annoying. Perhaps a recipe like so should be used instead? Four Dark Tomahawks, One Felewyn Shard, and One Dark Sword for the price of 150,000 gold pieces?

Didn't say buffing the item was out of the question - just said sick of whining (especially when it's the same player repeatedly).
Due to the extreme amount of whining nerfing tends to cause, I tend to aim low on most new items, these days, and uber them over time. Not really inclined to do anything more for that item this patch anymore though - maybe next one.

I trust that the devs will make sure that it is balanced, most of my favorite weapons in this game aren't super powerful, they're just fun to use... I don't have an unholy balde but it can't be as boring as the rusty short sword :?
