Server list shows farm map?

I noticed this server was playing on a map called "farm2".. and is using the most current patch. Although I can't tell if it is connected to FN or not.

Should this be of concern?

I can tell ye he's not on FN... and he's not a veteran nor a former FN host.

I can't tell you if he's developing or cheating. Though the map name has me leading towards the latter.

FN servers will always have the [FN] tag on the servers name, at least 90% of the time.

I always thought [FN] should be auto-added to the host name on connect of FuzNet, kind of like the plugin that automatically updates timeleft in hostname on CS.

I know it's not a viable option because:

• No extra manpower to code such a thing
• There aren't enough/new servers to even need it
• You can easily add/remove [FN] from server.cfg
• You'll know if your character is/isn't there on connect
• All Seeing Eye Thothie knows all, doesn't like sploits, and has been known to feed Gabe
• A bullet-list was required to explain it's viability.

Well since we know he's not on FN, I just find it humorous that someone would go out of their way to do a farm map, when the developer commands are available to us. Trying to short-cut the game in an ass backwards way, I guess?

Or... I could be a complete A-hole and he's really a cool dude beta testing his lore related farm themed map.

Eh, actually, such a function would be pretty simple... There's already a function that'll cause your server to dump itself if it has [FN] in the name, but FN isn't enabled.

I suppose it'd be best to just check if [FN] is already in the hostname, and you're a legit [FN] server, prefix the hostname with [FN], if you haven't already added it yourself.

Interesting, I didn't know such a feature existed. Guess it's not much of an issue since FN is a tight-knit circle. Cool to know that it could be done and added in the future, for you know, when our population booms into the tens of thousands. ...Any day now, I tell ya!

I still don't know how you manage to fux with real-life, code the nightmare that is MS:C, and still be on-point with responding to my forum posts in under 5 minutes. My bank customer service isn't even that good! Can I call sploits?!

^With that said, sexy time with Sembelbin yet? If that's not a good enough sploit, maybe the brown-nosing will tilt the scale in my favor?! Hahahahaha.. good times.

Brown nosing won't help - though donating to the community - either via materials, or even just reports that help us plug up holes, will.

Obviously, given the delay between these last two patches, I've not had all that much time... But, if anyone posts anything on the forums, I get a pop up here or on my laptop. I am, ever so sadly, rarely far from either the home rig or my laptop - or someone else's computer, with an RDP connect to my home rig... I've got things to monitor and other crap that pops up, so I has to keep in touch with the old electronic ball and chain. F*CKING B*TCH RUNS MY LIFE! My own "Millie" is pretty much playing second fiddle to Agnes at this point...
