I think Vomica was asking whether or not MS: Source would be chronologically in the future as compared to MC: Continued.

Obviously, continued is ahead of the original, because in it Helena is saved.

it could take place after the original (someone saved helena, we'll go with J-M) or before, and helena is not yet in need of saving. Point being, the fact that helena is under attack only implies that continued does not take place at the same time as the original, it doesn't say anything about whether it takes place before or after.
