Hey,

Yo just curious as to wether or not there would be a patch this year and if not- what are the reasons and how far away is this patch from being optimal?
I think a lot of old players would flush back to the game, me included. If this patch would come about! Is there any parts of it that a non coder can help with?

So I've been absent a bit (OSRS addiction) but I've been wanting to do another map or 3. Just one thing; I've noticed the forum has continued to remain mostly quiet and I just want to know if I do complete something it can still be released at this point. So how are things at this point in time @Thothie @The Man In Black. Also, if there is no patch in sight, maybe we can consider releasing the Cleicert remake that has been stuck in limbo since Spring?

If you want some idea of just how far gone I am... I coulda sworn we released that already. (edit: Think there was an unresolvable-without-patch problem regarding the name and the chests. So the treasure would have to be changed, somehow, and/or it'd have to overwrite the old one - in which case, I guess we just include the old one with the map pack and rename it cleicert_old. Hopefully it does not also require the death of a specific boss.)

Aim for a Christmas release? Send me any updates via PM, rest should be around here somewhere.

I haven't touched anything with cleicert2. I just wanted to make sure if I start doing more maps it won't be wasted time. If the map name is causing the issue then I think we should just rename the new map (I'd still like to play the old one eventually), but that can be downgraded to the very bottom of a task list.

Might be starting something shortly, maybe another remake. If I do make good progress I'll send a PM again.

Edit: Or if you want a specific map/concept to be done, just let me know.

We can rename the old one to keep it around for retro-play, but you will no longer be able to get the critical item on it, only on the new one. The new one needs some additional tweaking due to the buggy linked chest effect. That I cannot fix (canna have duplicates of that critical-item chest), and I canna change the spawn chances in that chest without a full patch of one sort of another... Which probably ain't happening before... Well, as someone keeps insisting, let's not go there just yet. I can add additional chests with others sorts of more rewards though.

Downside, balance wise, is you need that critical item at a lower level than this new dungeon really is. But, due to the electric wormie bug and how quickly he or his eggs must be eliminated as a result, kinda already the case. (Though maybe I can replace him with something while we're in there - bunch of vamped up lightning horrors, not in eggs, or such - at least making the retro-play more viable, if not lewt worthy - guess maybe ripent the end chests to make it more so as well.)

Hmm, I could take a look and adjust some things if you want. I'd need you to send it over. If so, just let me know a specific range to shoot for. (Would be nice to look at the boss area and maybe add more detail too.

Edit: Shooting for a Christmas Cleicert release is fine with me too.

People still mistakenly making dwarves and consequentially quitting shortly after.
