Moar!

I dunno what skin you intend to use, but I know the one on the original model was very segmented, and thus maybe difficult to wrap - lest you wanna go making snap shots of the original from all sorts of odd angles.

Much better than the skin the WW guys apparently stole. I also VERY much appreciate one-piece textures like that - it makes reskinning MUCH easier... Those orcs, with their 50 different textures, are a royal pain to skin, and you get all sorts of "stretchies" in the effort... FER tried to do something about that for me, but it didn't work out so good.

The tail to me still looks a little stretched out. But If you skin it and it comes out well, then by all means. Looks good!

The back legs still look a little stretched. (The squares looking a little bigger than the rest of the body)

Well... i don't know what's going on with his rats... but I added some animations to your rat Thothie.. (download from http://membres.lycos.fr/eskimobob/Released/rat.mdl ) I seriously suck at animation, but i guess that slapping it on the original skeleton is better than nothing

Wow... That is... The creepiest rat I have ever seen. :oldshock:

I dunno if there's some way to fancy those anims a bit - maybe give it some mouth movement or something to make it seem a bit less stiff. I realize these are the same anims the current rat is using (or I guess they are) but they do seem quite odd on this thinner rat.

I wish I could somehow extract the original anims for the model. It has some very nice and smooth anims - its back is made up of maybe 6 joints that flow in a wave when it runs, kinda like a cat's would (or, in this case, like a rat's would).

Dunno how well it imported - wish to hell I could import the anims...

Original: (Sadly no wire frame preview avail)

Looks like all the bones are there, but it maybe this model format provides some extra bone data - they seem to project somehow (maybe NIF equivalent of attachments). Likely possible just with proper bone vertex assignment, but difficult.

..yeah the model got all its bones, I didnt notice that the user who gave it new animations rigged it to the old rat model.

Apparently, animation is hard. :(

There's *probably* a better NIF importer out there for 3dxmax or something, that might get the animations, then could subsequently export it to something MS3D can read, but jeeze, that level of model conversion tends to take days to research.
