This is my list of mmorpgs from crappiest to addictive

Crappiest
http://www.mechquest.com/- Its very gay with turn based and when you buy parts and try to sell them its divided by 100 so if you buy a 2000 weapon it sells for 200 it also makes you press this button and roll to get a skill lvl up and most of the things are for members only also no point of lvling you get nothing
http://www.runescape.com- Omg so gay and retarded i can't even explain it
http://www.battleon.com- Same as mechquest/dragonfable
http://www.dragonfable.com- Same as mechquest/battleon
http://www.warrock.net/- Very crappy graphics crashes alot and the hud screen is always blurry.
http://www.maplestory.com- Crappy Graphics its 2d and takes forever to lvl and choose a class
http://www.godsoftime.com- Umm how would i put this... uhh ok so you lvl up pretty fast fighting system is reatarded and graphics r gay and its a web browsing game also the movement system is also gay and retarted the cursor has arrows pointed at a certain direction when you aim and you take a step in that direction and also they have overpriced micro payments 1 month 4.00 3 months 12.00 6 months 23.00 (lol some redundancy there)

Addictive
http://www.flyff.gpotato.com- Long but fun lvling cool skills and you can fly on a board at lvl 20 also some events
http://www.corum.gpotato.com/- Cool classes OK skills and easy lvl up
http://www.rakion.softnyx.net- Hard but fun lvling fast paced games and a variety of gamemodes to play and pretty much everyone is killable even if your a lvl 1(i stopped playing this because it kept crashing and i had to restart my computer VISTA BUGS!!!)

http://www.rappelz.gpotato.com/- User Suggested
http://www.anarchy-online.com/- The thing I like about anarchy online is the stat development. There is about some menus of skills (80 skills in total) that you can improve using points gained every level. There are spells (AKA Nano programs) that boost specifics in these menus and Everything good in the game requires you to have a certain number of something to use it.

The addictiveness comes from tinkering and twinking the hell out of your character to use more powerful guns, nano programs, melee weapons, armor, and vehicles. Hell at about around level 50 (Which came after 1-2 weeks of playing) I was running around in what could be described as Storm trooper armor while wielding an Organic Energy Scythe thing and riding in a tiny rocket that boosted my run speed 2 fold.

Sure it boils down to doing missions 50 percent of the time (Which can net you tokens to put in a board which gives you bonus stat increases, and even experience modifiers with enough tokens, and have items for rewards that not found anywhere else). The other 50 percent of the time you are fighting through dungeons with groups of other people. It is basically Missions til level X, Dungeon/Missions til level X, Repeat.

You also have the option to start paying a monthly fee to play as well. By doing so you are given access to new worlds and Perks (Which include stat boosts and special skills). But the best thing is you can go from level 1 to level 200 (Yes that is the level cap) Without paying a freaking dime. If you want to get from level 200 to 220 then you will have to pay. But I digress.

Long story short If you really want to play a Free MMO Play AO. They keep saying "It's only free tell 200X" But They originally made it from 2004 to 2005 for free. The people keep extending the deal because it keeps netting them new accounts (lol copyed from fehi's post)
Guild Wars- Well i dont wanna put the site because you pretty much cant download it you gotta buy it for a pretty high price but its worth it lots of quest a good amount of classes and lvling is easy

http://lastchaos.aeriagames.com/download- Probably one of the best MMORPGS ive ever played. It has plenty of classes to choose from, lots of quest, pets you can train and mount like dragons and horses, and also micro payments

A good list of MMORPGs are here:http://www.mmorpg.com

If you find a url problem or have sugestions post them here

I certainly wouldn't categorize PVKII or GMod as RPG's (insert Squirrel b*tching about them not being MMO's either).

And anything by gpotato belongs on the crappy side of the spectrum, along with maplestory.

Everything in this thread is stupid.

You're in this thread. Nice admittance.

(For the next person, yes, I'm in this thread, but I already was, so I may as well drag J-M with me.)

I want in on some of this action, and to add to my stupid bonus I will admit I played maplestory! though not anymore due to the influx of stupidity and annoying kids.

Despite this thread being stupid :p , I too have played maplestory at one time. However, like most "cute" mmorpgs, it got really boring for me before I could even get to the good part(If there was one of course  ). You can level your character to a certain point, but then it gets way too boring or too hard(time consuming) to continue.

Hmmm.. MMO's.. The thing I mainly specialize in. The thing that has kept me away from MS:C.

I would not say Flyff or Rappelz are good MMO's All they boil down to is killing an assload of things.

I got to level 27 in flyff mostly out of spite. What few quests I could do boiled down to killing the stuff I was already killing except having to kill 3 times more to collect the items needed to complete it. Only for a crappy reward. Even for the job advancement quests it was the same thing! The only reason I got to level 27 was due to the Flying part. Even that got tiresome after a while.

Rappelz suffers from the same problems twice over due to the lack of Class advancement and flying.

How ever, A free MMO I personally enjoy from time to time is Anarchy Online.

Sure it is still Kill Kill Kill but that is not the point.

And before anyone Complains about the graphics watch this video.

This is a video of their new rendering engine they are working on as I speak.

:Edit:
I would like to also note that there is 14 professions
12 of which are playable in the free version.

Hmm...why hasn't Guild Wars been added yet? It's a one-time payment of the usual new game price ($50) and it's constantly expanding with new skills, areas, classes, weapons, quests, and noobs to rape in PvP. So what's not to like?

Another one...even better than Warrock would be ijji's Gunz. I still play it from time to time but I mainly stopped playing because of the lag. (I have a horrible connection.) Yes yes, it IS Counter-Strike combined with the Matrix but anybody can tell that combination is the shizzle. I just wish ijji would update more often like a company that cared about having customers and...maybe...lower the insane prices on their cash items >.<

Gunz isn't an MMORPG... infact... a lot of these aren't.

My information.
GunZ Online is more like that ESF mod. You pit one team against another team, or do a free-for-all, etc... but the servers for each group of players won't permit enough people to call it "massive"...

Then again, it is a massive multiplayer game setup... has levels, so it is also an RPG. It is debatable, based on what you consider an MMORPG. If you think just along what the wording stands for, then GunZ actually is an MMORPG. Levels, able to buy/sell items, characters, etc. Lots of people playing online, overall.

It'd be perfect if there were an "Elitist Ban Button."

Anybody know of some good browser/flash games that'll keep me occupied for the next two days? Zombie killing, RPG, MMORPG, whatever. As long as there's lots to do :D :|

Protector

Description said:
Deep strategy and involving depth, deceptively simple to play, yet so many avenues and strategies to master. Protector is a game that will steal your free time and leave you feeling happy to have lost it.

That last sentence is SO GODDAMN TRUE.
