Hi, I am fairly new to this forum ,and game which I've only played for a few weeks ,but I'd like to give some suggestions.
Alignment- A single digit variable going from -9 to 9 this will affect how npcs respond to you if scripted as such.
Maps- How about a non linear fairly huge battlefield map with capturable control points? Each teams would have 3 capture points that they started with. Each time someone won the map the map would restart ,and give each play like .1 alignment up or down whether they fought for with say Maldora or the Khaz or with soldiers of Deralia or dwarves of Urdual. Maybe even a point system stored on FN where the side with the most points would affect a future plot event. Like say there was a battlefield map where it was the outskirts of edana ,and as someone finished it would give a point to each side. This would eventually change the plot line so say the orcs won versus dwarves that came to help edana. This could have it so that maybe next patch Edana was modified to have a cave where orcs resided ,and the sky was dark until the map got enough points where there would be another map released ,and the last barred from use on FN. This would give the players a feel of both choice ,and having an effect on the gameworld.
Rank- As you did things to gain favor with citizens ,and gaurds or rulers in cities you would gain rank. The maximum would be 100 rank ,and that number divided by 5 would allow you to command 20 troops this would require long hours of devotion though. The average rank would probably stay around <40 ,and players over 40 would become officers being able to drop items which put sprites in the sky as an objective. So you could tell the players to take specific control points like say a ridge to prevent the enemy archers from pwning you. After there were no enemies around a player thats not an officer could pick these up ,and return them to get small amounts of extra rank. After rank 70 you can give instruction to npcs to attack a control point from chat menus instead of the npcs doing this random.
