A few moments ago I was messaged by Stoned who informed me that he had threw his life away to the Devil. He proudly tried to boast how he had enraged  JM  by reminding him of the chatlog located in the lol-a-thon thread (I won't link it as I don't want anyone else to suffer the same fate as Stoned).

Since we all know Stoned is done for we should all celebrate the impact he had on the community. I, Dridje, will start his eulogy. He always liked Gertenheld Cape's music so I think it's fitting if we play it for him. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/96746

What can I say about Stoned? He was a nice person who always wanted to contribute to the game. He joined our ranks on Thursday, July 23rd 2009. It took him a few weeks to get settled in and he made many friends shortly after his arrival. He was eager to release custom content to the game and always tried to rush projects but bless his soul he just wanted to make us happy.

It was here that he first started learning how to model. At the beginning his work was bad but he was slowly getting better and I never got to tell him how I liked his dagger model. We can only imagine how much more your abilities would have improved but I bet you would have became a great modeler.

I'll let somebody else continue this but before I hand it over I just wanted to add one more thing. Stoned, you were one of my best steam friends and I won't forget all the fun times we had. I'm sure you're looking up at us right now with a smile on your face. Goodbye

PS: I can't wait to see what you do to him JM

What fresh drama is this? >_>

Darn, I was looking forward to Stoned's Fists of Stone model - albiet, I know he'd never finish it, or anything else we might actually be able to use. :\

Dernitall... I started working on a script for this too... But this model be a long way from usable.

For one, it is way off scale (seems to be about the size of the original titan's arms)... But more importantly, it is not rigged to the MA skeleton. It needs to be rigged to the skeleton in models/viewmodels/v_martialarts.mdl - then maybe I can do something with it.

edit:
Although it won't need a world model the way I'm designing the script, it will need a p_model, so it can be seen by other players/third person view. That model will need to be rigged to models/weapons/p_weapons3.mdl.

For one it shouldnt be off scale, its a bit bigger than the original fists BUT thats how I thought it should be :/ and second I thought you could rig it with an entirely new skeleton and it could still be consolidated? I was going to give it new animations so I thought I needed a new skeleton. And three I may need a little help rigging it with the p_weapons3, I never did try making p models so thats gonna be new to me.

Thothie said:
It is way too large. Those arms will never fit on the player.

There's no way to automatically rig models, it has to be done manually, and is beyond my expertice / time alloted. Any new items have to be consolidatable into one of the existing viewmodels, so they have to be rigged to the skeletons in the existing viewmodels.

p_weapons3 has a skeleton just containing the upper half of the bones of the player model. It isn't animated, and there aren't many bones, so it should be fairly easy compared to the viewmodel. Keep in mind, however, that this skeleton attaches to the player and follows his movement.

I never talked with Dridje about it, at all.

Long story short: Stoned tried to taunt me by asking how hard it could be to solve Postal's incredibly poorly formulated 9th grade geometry problem.

And this thread sucks monkey balls.
