Thanks for the reports, but did I mention this isn't the bug report thread? ;)

In answer to your questions though...

Winter Wolf is as it should be, apparently, I just did the math wrong when I did the changelog.

The Frost Bow on the other hand, is supposed to be 75%, yet the entry is 50% for whatever reason, fixed.

Fire elemental still looking into. May just rebuild him - damned script is pure chaos.

Tentadrilus tells me that these models are basically reskins of the existing elves. He says the legs on them aren't long enough to cover these wide open areas quickly and still look natural. He suggests either altering the racial concept, or changing the map layout to work better with regular melee folks. I'm very glad he passed them onto me after he was done downloading them.

i modified their size(they are about the same size as a Bludgeon)
They should be able to run as fast as one.

And its not just a new reskin, i added the bludgeon axes for the female one.
and the d_axe for Hashalgath which is the weapon i want him to use.

Oh i also made both models bald, with the exception of the replacement for the poison bludgeon.

In action they will technically perform the same as a bludgeon., except that they may even be faster in some cases.

Did you adjust the speed on the LX animation? I mean, you could make these gals 50 feet tall, but they'll still move at the same rate - it'll just be easier to look up their skirts.

Yeah i adjusted the LX speed, the only exception may be the run anim who i left at 20, and charging at 30, but that can easily be changed.

I also gave Hashalgath the "rogue" animations.

Have to go now, check em out personally, im sure you will like em.

Wow... Alright, I'll see what I can do with them.

...Any chance you could scale the player bones and rig a dwarf body to them?

...just dreaming. >_>

Scaling the bones can be done in model viewer.
As for the dwarf skeleton...Thats muuuuch more work, it would mean i'd also have to make all the animations needed for the bludgeon, plus the time it takes to reassign all bones.

And a tip incase you did not know all playermodels uses the same skeleton as the rogue, so you can just take rogue animations and put them on any halflife playermodel.

I was referring to the whole patch, by the way. You're all wonderful people.

He didn't... I thought he was making fun of you responding to a PM in the general forums. Thus I made fun of him.

Chalk it up to humor and comprehension fail caused by too much caffeine in the Thothie.

Bit less wowie than the last set... Model indexes and, in the third case, anims don't match up, but maybe I can make them play nice with the Torkie scripts, so I won't need to waste another month coding elves that don't make it into the patch.

I'll post up the model sources in the dev forums, in case yer curious.

...Jeeze, still need to make a dev changelog too... Been too busy on a B patch to even consider it. :/

I made the animations and npc size compatible with bludgeons, thats why they dont match with torkie elves.

I intended you to change the model of the bludgeon script into the elf script ^^'

:oldlol: +1

anyway back OT: Those elves look pretty neat.

Would be nice to have playermodels of regular elves and dwarves though, now that we can actually do that(I think?).

Yeah they were supposed to be replaced xD
I wanted to preserve current npc mechanics such as charging, jumping etc.

Incase i forgot to note it:
Hashalgath is supposed to use the d-axe i ported from the elf.
The poison bludgeon replacement (The one you gave a shield) is supposed to use the venom axe, the other one(the bald one who is supposed to replace Hashalgath's hand and the ghosts in the beginning) can either use the d-mace or the standard bludgeon axe i ported (did not bother to port the hammer since the mace looked better anyway)

Beside if its necessary to return to standard torkie elf animations all you have to do is decompile and copy the animations from the torkie elf to the delf, and do the same in the qc file.

As for playermodels...Lets get that female human first shall we? :3

We've already got a model. models\human\female1\female1.mdl

Dunno how it works/looks in-game, though. I almost used it for Kyra, but decided to go with a different model for some reason? I think it's because she worked with the scientist anims, which made conversation animations and mouth movement(when we do get someone to voice her) easier. That is, if we clean it up first. Wish we could set it up so there was a tutorial button that brought to that map and stopped FN from connecting, but wasn't mapvote-able, so only a single person would be able to run it.

EDIT: Taking a closer look at that model and the model we use currently... It needs some work. It's missing a bunch of animations.

Yeah it exists but its not in use, if you choose female you are still male.
I for one do not really mind if armor does not match 100%, its just annoying im unable to be female.

I can port a little something from wow as a temporary female playermodel...
Would you like this? (I would probably remove the quiver, and the skulls, and the markings on her face)

No more ports please kthxbay

Lets just rig that crappy female player model to the actual player model animations and keep it as placeholder until we can make a decent female player model.
