Since the player uses the same "stance"(?) when holding the crossbow as a normal bow (Where right now his arm goes beyond the bow), why not make it so that:

1. There's something out there that I'm supposed to be holding (ie, a handle in the right spot so it works with the model)
2. When I'm holding it, my hand is out in front like it shows to other people

Other than that, looking good.

Nice model :) I dont mind a little holding glitch, as long as we dont get it right in the ass like spiderblade used to lol

heh, thothie told me the crossbow animation is the same as the bow animation, compare them if you dare!
and it should be fixed by next patch so i dont want to add the arm.

did you miss 2 triangles on the left most part of the bend? (top left part of the model is transparent)

IIRC - the hardest part Orochi had with his xbow, was getting it into a pair of hands. (Actually Troy Thompson made our original Xbow, so that's pretty much all Orochi did - and I think he shaved several years off his life over it.) ;)

i experimented with the bones already used in the old bow, and i made it work out. (before i even uvmapped it)
no problem :D

(i tried rotating the model and it didnt work.) :|


EDIT: wtf only the idle animations are facing the wrong way.


i cant do anything with it untill this is fixed so im gonna go raise my magic level :|

Heh, not so easy, is it? :wink:
I think we can use this for a heavy xbow. What do you think, Thothie?
BTW, the hardest part wasn't making the xbow fit in the hands, but rigging the hands to attach to the current boneset properly so as not to waste the default animations.
