Yeah I agree with that... Monsters that deliver ownage should grant ownage exp...
We've been over this a million times, they do give more XP, just not directly relative to their HP, as otherwise everyone would be level 100+ by now. An Ice Reaver is worth about 67 boars (400xp vs 6xp), but takes longer to kill (2000hp vs 20hp).

yeah that makes a lot of sense, but I don't only mean to care about how long it takes to kill a monster to = it's exp.

Monsters that have fast, heavy, stunning, and/or knockback attacks... should well, possibly give a little bit more.

I want to take into account the offensive power of a monster, because it greatly adds to the difficulty.

Horrors especially... dizzying, blinding, poisoning, dropping 100s each attack...

i don't think hp/defensive power accurately gauges the difficulty of a monster translating to exp

hp/defensive power + offensive power equals a monster's difficulty and i think should show in the exp.

We take this into account when determining XP value for each creature. It's not simply that an Ice Reaver takes longer to kill that makes him worth 66x the XP. It's that he hits a lot harder, and has special attacks that the boar don't.

Horrors aren't worth as much as Ice Reavers, but they aren't nearly as mean (don't hit as hard, and have a fraction of the HP). They're main thing is that they just have a nasty habit of finding you when yer near lava or a botomless pit - and actually go down pretty easy out in the open. :) Although they are worth a hell of a lot more than boars, and XP was taken into account for their special abilities. They have less HP than a troll, and have no armor, but as are still worth about twice as much XP.
