Of course it is, since you didn't necessarily build it, so much as simply assembled it

Nobody builds their own computers, they have the parts prebuilt, shipped to them, and they stick things into the motherboard slots (be them PCI, AGP, PCI-E or whatever) after screwing the motherboard into place

Rawr!! A bit too much attention payed to your wording, but so what!!

On the other note, it is always better to assemble computers part by part yourself... generally much cheaper that way.
