ANNOYED!

I know i can't change this in any way shape or form , it's not my type to actually log in forums to rant, but this one annoyance is just.... grossly discouraging.

I don't think i need to mention how rare eth daggers are. I don't think i need to mention how amazingly annoying it is to lose it. I switched servers after claiming it, went to dorgan, still had it, went to old_hel, asked dorgan to fix it, but he didn't even offer the option... i checked my inventory ; it was gone and i had 65/75 items on so it's not like i lost it. (I know this because i bought 10 potions in a sad attempt to try to recoup my losses.

I just thought i'd rant about it since i'm so horribly pissed off at how inconvenient this is, especially since it's the 2nd dagger i lose; first one being a dumb trade.

I'd just like to know how this can be avoided in the future... or what i did wrong, somehow?

I've said it before and i'll say it again, i'm probably the most unlucky MSC player that has ever lived when it comes to loot... -_-

A good tip: When you acquire some incredibly rare item which you need to use for something (forging for example), it's smart to quit MS:C and wait six hours, at the very least, so you can be certain an [FN] backup of your character was made. You can then, in the case of issues, ask Thothie if he wants to roll back your character.

If that's the only way, then i'm willing to take the risk. I guess i'll have to deal with the losses.

Thar be a rollback request forum section you can use when you lose stuffs.

Also, when changing servers, be sure to shut down half-life (close MSC) first.

Talking about ethereal daggers, last rusty dagger i got from X map went poof on me ~1 hour later so i dont know if this is normal, since his issue seems to describe mine in someway. Only happened once to me aswell.

Got any clue on what could be doing this? It seems to be a similiar issue like the items of interest in the previous patches (which seems to be long fixed by now, i think).

I appreciate the feedback, i'm perplexed as to why Zeus would lose it in a similar manner, i guess i'll keep my future rusty daggers in my chest until next patch or something. As for the rollback request, well, given the fact only 5-10 minutes elapsed between the gain and loss i'm willing to accept the idea that the rollback has a very slight chance of fixing this. Besides, i just got lucky as hell at the moment so i'm not as annoyed, just inquisitive about the problem above.

A rollback has a 100% chance of fixing it, assuming the rollback date you request was at a time when you had said dagger.

The patch has 0% chance of fixing it, because there's nothing different about the rusty dagger from any other misc item, and thus there is nothing to be done.

Whether the item will vanish again after a rollback will depend on the reason it is vanishing to begin with. If there's a corrupt item in your character's inventory causing subsequent items to vanish, more drastic measures will need to be taken (eg. cycling all your inventory).
