We have so many weapons from turbosquid now we should be able to replace absolutely everything that's stolen I'd think.
Which... Aside from this item, we have... Unless you see something I missed in the alpha?

Mind, the Dragon Guards are still using them - it'll take me some time to fit the new items into their hands just right. Phlame's staff, similarly. The new warrior elves have their own weapons. Wizard/priest elves are still pending replacement.

Or well, rather, we have all the materials we need to replace the wizarding elves, but putting them together is beyond my meager modeling abilities:

Browsing the forums using Chrome (on a desktop computer) and the video in your post at the top of the page isn't working for me either.

Also using Chrome... Oh well - we did add the [video] tag as a plugin, maybe it's not working so good.

Granted, I suppose some browsers flip out when trying to download files from insecure servers like with the WEBM version I linked after that, so I'll add an MP4 attachment, just to see how that goes.

I think you can also in-line add Youtube videos in Xenoforo - let's see if that works:

Granted, I suspect Youtube will axe that for the music track right quick.

Over 9,000 hours in MSpaint (or 0.1 hours in Illustrator).

As much as I like the bone motif from Morrowind Rebirth, probably the simplest way to set it apart is to go metallic with thin and overlapping blades. The handle might have to be texture to keep it in the reasonable polycount range (though I'll settle for anything under 3K). If ya can't texture, keep the blades and handle in separate groups, and maybe I can.

They mainly worship Felewyn, but there are the Rammata elves(Which you can find on the_wall" that worship Torkalath and the Eshu elves that worship Urdual, from what I've been told by the lovely J-M.

That's more or less what I was aiming at (I shoulda done more than one angle, but got lazy.)

Granted, it isn't practical, or even aerodynamic enough to throw - but I refer to the usual explanation for that. (Thing magically guides itself and zaps back into your hand, after all.)

It's not an elven weapon, oddly enough. First time it's encountered it's the Dragon Guards that have it. Had it been Khaz's Dragon Guards and not Jam's, I'd say go for some sorta dragon cultist blade motif in the texturing, though they'll both be using them in the end, and some of Khaz's evolved guards do make a brief appearance in the alpha. Running a little dragon sigil along the blade would be hard though.

Be forewarned, however, if this is just a tease we're never going to get a file for, I won't hesitate to use my "C is for Cookie Blade".

No more texture skewing? That might actually be useful. As it is, I've been using custom compiles of both the sprite maker and the model maker to get by some limits, but figuring out what was causing the texture skewing was beyond me. Using the Milkshape tools instead of Half-Life's SDK StudioMDL to decompile made it less likely to happen, so sometimes I'd resort to it, but on a few models it still had problems, and as a compiler, Milkshape is useless as it doesn't recognize a lot of critical tags.

I was right at 3k poly before these meshs upgrades, but decided to go to 3.6 for the cylinders thing

Think it'll be okay - at around 4K I have to break it up into submodels, but that isn't an option with weapons, as they are already in a large submodel group. We have viewmodels that break the 3K limit (sometimes just over 4K when you add the arms submodel), but I might use the DirectX mesh wpoly tool to reduce the count for the world model. (Makes the world models a bit uglier, but they aren't as 'in our face' as the viewmodels, so, saves FPS and resources.)

I was thinking the circles on either end of the handle would be edged disks rising into thorns, but that'd be a hard shape to make - that bevel helps quite a bit though, and might make for easy texturing. Can't think of what else to do with 'em that'd help.
