I believe I explained him three times how to make those, even when he first started mapping, but I guess Crow is a bit stubborn :mrgreen:

Brilliant maps however, except for the part where Maldora doesn't do anything.

Maldora's broken? :\ WTFness... Spent so much damned time on him.

Meh, I r re-uploading a version without the skymap (already in the base installer) and with res files.

I just ran him on a test map - even if you kill his fragments, then spawn him, he seems to work... Does it look like he's stuck inside something?

Wait; disregard what I said. Mikkel was running MAR2008a (not the new mini patch thingy that I also can't seem to find).

By the way, Crow, that ruined outdoor castle part thingy in lodagond-3 almost made my jaw drop. That looks amazing. It instantly reminded me of the Source mod "Eclipse" (starting level, "Auld Haven"). Did you ever play that?

Interim patch is linked together with Lostcastle on the thothie download page. Also linked in the bug (1st post) and betapack threads (not so 1st post), and with G. Forest. If you've downloaded it before, clear your net cache as it's been updated a few times. The current one has the Helena map patch in the maps folder.

I gotta report that Maldora didn't even spawn though. :\

Yea, its more or less model'd of that. The mod itself was very interesting. I was def impressed by the forest, that was my favorite part, cause cause of teh atmosphere.

Here's a quick free-roam map idea for you:

Lodagond: Aftermath

After defeating Maldora, the Lodagond Citadel has crashed into the outer plains of Daragoth. Now you must travel among the ruins, half-buried in the bottomless caverns, impact craters, and massive land scars formed by the impact in order to root out the unbound evil seeping free.

Best thing is you could wip it up real quick, cuz you could use large chunks of your existing map as broken bits of the temple. ;) (Hell, if yer really lucky, you might be able to make large parts of it just by turning chunks of Lodagond maps on their side.)

Yeah, we finished maldora and got around 41k exp at the most. Was a long and tough fight but in the end we did it. Not a single chest however. :(

Blah, I gave Crow a chest for this... And respawning... That's just cruel. ;)

Glad to see he CAN be defeated... This could be fixed with hlcsg -onlyents I suspect - but if you do recompile the map, Crow, I'd suggest making the room one more set of pillars larger on either side to give the players more room to navigate. Plus - send src, plzktnx. The one I have is dated still.

I'm guessing map source...

But Thothie, it would be nice if you limit to 2 seconds his lightning attack, he did 600 dmg with it on me, never stopping...

True that, also reporting that the chest in Lodagond-3 is broken, it has no loot whatsoever.

IIRC, Thothie said something about "doing the quest correctly" .. Maybe you didn't ;-)

No, we've been saving the Runghar quest for next month, as the resulting reward is Blood Drinker, and I no can add new weapons until we get some model consolidation.

As for the empty chest, I shall have to examinate the new map sources and figure what and where they are when I get them. ;)

Source updated.

Map recompiled and uploaded:
- Maldoras chamber now even bigger!
- There be treasures! (This excludes the secret chest in Loda-3. The script used is "[chests?]/lodagond3" so if Thothie wants to throw free crap in there its up to him)

(Note: Yes the res files are in there)
