How is it done?

I can't seem to figure it out, can someone help me out? I need to wipe my drive so I can reinstall XP and get viruses and stuff off of my computer.

Take XP install disc, insert into drive, boot comp, boot from CD and there you go, all options you need.

take out your harddrive and there should be screws holding the metal peice on.
unscrew those with alan wrenches and then find a soft rag and soak it in hot water for about 2 minutes.
smother the exposed harddrive with the damp warm rag for about 10 minutes and replace the metal casing and plug it in.

it should work.

Put your XP disk in.
Turn on your computer.
Hit Del, F1, F2, F10 (or whatever your computer says is used to enter the BIOS setup screen).
Make sure the boot order has CD drive above hard disk.
Reboot.
When it says "Press any key to enter setup", press any key.
Go through the Windows XP setup instructions.
When it asks you where to install XP, delete your partition.
Continue on and follow the setup.
