What the hell happened to Lightning storm and Blizzzard?

Back then, everyone would use it one Keledros and do massive damage because it hit a lot. Now it just misses. Same thing with Blizzard. Now it seems that the enemies magic hits a LOT more than a player's magic.

I'm pretty sure they're somewhat broken because of the new aoe fix. Spells now pass along the correct amount of XP for their dots (which also allows dots from weapons to train their specific skills if thoth sets them to) so you don't have to keep holding down +attack to get full XP from a spell. I think it's great, except lightning storm and blizzard have gotten broken/nerfed horribly in the process. If they WERE just nerfed, it seems that more and more lately you need to be a higher level to start on magic without it being one giant PITA(this being that you'll need to be the higher levels to get the weapons that can train magic, save for a few lesser weapons that deal crappy damage but pass all XP to certain magic skills)... Well, a lot moreso than it was months ago.
