What do you think we need the most right now?
Models = More monsters and equipment or higher quality ones.
Maps - More places to run train at.
Scripts = More events and such things.
GFX = New textures, sprites and such for a better look.

Voted for scripts, as msc only items and monsters from level 1 to 40. Since you can get to a max of level 255 we've only got enough stuff for about 15% of the game :p

Nipple tea and lipskin :roll:... nvm

A new expansion like an epic world with a new theme.
And some tricky maze dungeons with spells that is soo damn hard to get

New areas to explore, not all with super jump in a pit 2000 times to kill it boss monsters but some like the vanilla ones of old too.
Hand in hand with the new maps new map specific monsters so that its not just the tiny varient on normal play to get to some chests with the only real differnce being the layout and textures.

you forget. Who will make all of this? I would vote hard code, but only if we have a dedicated code writer rather than thothie who some how manages to do it all.

We could always make hobo's do all the stuff and the payment is cheap, a sandwich per day.
Or enslave the dev team and make them work 25 hours a day.

I would rather see the devs working on MS:S more so than MS:C.

How much work is being done on MS:S, if any?

I imagine it's quite a juggling act between MS:C and MS:S, so not a lot.

The MS:S team still needs a real coder, and I STILL think the best thing to do would be to merge your source project and theirs, as every coder I've sent their way has met with a nasty accident... Just as every coder who said they'd work for the HL1 project (in most cases, those have just plain flaked out). In anycase, seems you have a coder and they have the media makers - get it together! :p

In anycase, so far as the HL1 project is concerned, I vote for maps, as I think the players need, more than anything, more places to go and things to do. There is a huge array of unused monsters, so if people wanted to be creative with placement, we don't even need that many scripts, in the short term.

Still, I realize every mapper wants some custom item or script for their map, so I've been hauling up that end of things instead of expanding the world myself, since I'm, apparently, the only one available to do so. (Although I nearly socked little G in the face when he asked me to make a dozen scripts to remake unrest2 ><)

ms:c needs maps more than anything. tons and tons of maps. learn how to use hammer and start mapping :wink:

I would say hammer is the easiest thing to learn (compared with modeling)

We Need Models :O (Grabs What Looks like a Ban-Hammer)Oops.. Wrong One.
But all I really want are Nun-Chucks or like Elementals of each semi-strong weapon. Like "A Perfect Fiery Skullblade" or something and the extra effect is that It's a Perfect Skullblade that sets monsters on fire by a small chance. o-o Are There Icy Fists?

I bet more people would play if they thought playing as a female character would get them free gear 8)
