Eh, good thing I actually checked in on the section of perpetual hate, as I was about to put your guild crest up for grabs.

Generally, if Lord K feels fit to lock a guild thread, I assume his intention is to dissolve the guild... In your case, he did so at your request, however, I figured your intention was to dissolve the guild.

The fact is the guild section is filled with nothing but h8 threads is what has made me move the guild war features for the game further and further down the list of things to do. I just don't want to encourage it.

Then some internal disputes and a teenage leader (ie. me) left and created the Hearts of Valor... Oh, those were the days...

I think I recruited every lonely sod I could find, nearly taking all potential members from the others



Anyways, are guilds desired anymore?
Back in the days, they were mostly for protection. Player Killing was enforced and global. I suppose hunting and adventuring parties would still work now.

Is Valor dead now, by the way? No Christopher leading it?

... I might just raid the castle and claim the throne my own again...

Why do guilds exist now? Good question. I think it is good for the community somehow. I am sure it is anyways.

I'm quite sure Valor was the first guild ever made for MS, but since you were around way earlier than me, could you verify some of the information in this topic?

And yes, some things are outdated, but I'll get to that soon(tm).

Guilds are becoming more useful as of late. Its good to have a group of trustworthy/skilled people to farm with since you pretty much have to farm with people now.

I added this guild to the list, even though:
1) The leader, The Adventurer12, joined GoW.
2) The leader vanished a long time ago.
3) The guild is dead.
So why did I add a dead guild to the list? Just for the sake of completion.

Because this thread is also somewhat an archive of all the MS: C guilds that ever existed (or at least those that I managed to track down), I will not remove The guild. If I were to remove all the dead guilds, only four would remain on the list: BoU, GoW, RiP and tPoD. Therefore, The guild stays on the list.

And update RiP. We sided with good and have a new thread.

I hereby want to offer my apologies to RiP for taking two months to update their guild description and change the link to their guild topic. P, I hope you like the new description (which I, of course, based on that of your new guild thread) but if there's anything incorrect, let me know.

And the usual saying: If you're a guild leader or a high ranked member of a guild and feel I messed up on the description of your guild, let me know!

You're right. I updated that (also in the first post).

And I added a whole bunch of very small guilds (that died very fast) for archiving purposes. I looked through this entire subforum and I think I finally got them all now.
