South America [FN] server request

im here to request a FN server on south america because im starting to play with some friends we are brazilliam and we have some high ping on servers im not requesting for a brazilliam server but at least one on south america because probably me and my friends inst the only players on south america with high ping so i think this could be a good idea

it's not up to developers to run a server in your area. they do not get paid to make this game for you. although you can host your own server.

Me thinks that's what he was asking... Just... Engrish.

We do have a lotta players south of the border, trick would be to find someone we could trust enough to host.

i cannot help on hosting my own server but if theres something i could help to do the server speak with me

It's just not worth setting up a server in South America. RKS experimented with that some time ago. It seems due to the lack of infrastructure in South America, most people will actually end up getting worse latency to servers located in South America. The connection in most cases ends up going from South America, to Miami, and then back down to where the server is located. I had a server located in Brazil, and the ping from Peru was over 400ms. Even from cities like Rio which is within Brazil, the latency was constantly over 300ms.

Furthermore, because of the lack of infrastructure and exchanges (and peering), bandwidth in South America costs ridiculous amounts.
