I host a listen server and people can connect fine. However, my brother on the same internet connection through the router but is using wireless. He can't even see my server on the list whereas others can join. We can play other games together over the internet+LAN (for example: using hamachi to play LAN with him and friends) so I'm not sure what the issue is. It probably has something to do with router but as long as I'm hosting other games with the ports forwarded to myself it works. I doubt there's a solution but if anyone has ideas of things we could try that would help. He won't play the game unless he can play with me and I like hosting my server so my friends and I have low ping/room.

He'll probably have to look under "LAN"

Or connect to your computers IP usually 192.168.0.xxx

I'm pretty sure he tried that as well as using my external IP while the server was up. We've been doing this for years but maybe he didn't check the LAN tab because he isn't as used to steam. I'll make sure of this, thanks for the idea.
