Alright, I am new to this site so please keep in mind, I thought this was the best place to put this post. Anyway, it is about Master Sword Continued.

I have it pretty much all working, I only have one problem.

I host the game starting on the map "Edana", and I select to create a new character and all that.

When I get to the screen to select my weapon type, and click a type (example: hammer), it just goes back to the "New Character" screen, where I can choose either character slot 1, 2 or 3.

What is wrong and whats going on? Why can't I start a new game?

A few questions to help us out:

1. Does it display anything (An error message maybe)?
2. Has it ever worked for you?
3. Is this your server, and if so, are you connected to FN?
4. Do you have the beta patches downloaded?
5. How much COULD a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

#1: No, not that I can see.
#2: The original MS did and does, but not MSC.
#3: I am trying to host a LAN network game.
#4: I have the MSC beta package in, so far as I know.
#5: 42?

you may want to try reinstalling, although if you're hosting a lan game it should be saving to the half-life/msc/SAVE folder...make sure that folder exists before you do anything...

also, before you get started...read the FuzNet rules and connect your server to that...otherwise you'll get very lonely :(

things worked before the beta packages MiB...though it isn't a bad idea to install the latest one...since you can't do much without it soon (or now?).

Master Sword: Continued will not run [properly] without the use of steam. It (the 'continued' variety) has been in development only after the main switch over to steam from WON - so it has been designed to work with steam...even if steam doesn't want to sometimes...

If anyone has any easy tips for getting it to work with WON2, or what not, I'm willing to spend a nominal amount of time trying to make it compatible, but as it is now, sadly MS:C requires t3h evil of Steam.
