MSC Downtime

Hello Everyone,

In order to facilitate a major software change, downtime is expected for all MSC services from April 12 - 15. The following services are affected and will go down for various time during the window provided above.

msremake.com and all e-mail services
FN Connectivity.
All RKS MSC servers.

Well only msremake.com is back online as of this point. EU And LA servers are still being worked on.

Yeah had some change of plans. The chicago servers is getting old and I am considering decommissioning them entirely and moving it to a newer servers. As such, there was no reason to shut those servers down.

Bingo! MSremake.com is now delivered encrypted from the server!

We get an A on https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/index.html. Which is the highest score possible on an IIS based web server.

There's still some things delivered non encrypted like Thothie and my avatar, etc. But that's because those are all hosted off site.

Yes you did! Congratulations! I didn't think anyone would be able to figure it out.

Yeah you wont be able to see my avatar and couple other things on this website until either
1) rkszone.com finishes upgrading or
2) I move the images onto msremake.com (more ideal choice)

Every page on msremake.com is now encrypted, but not ever page will display the lock since users can post pictures or use avatars from off site that arent necessarily secured. Regardless everything from the server itself should be encrypted from this point going forwards.

Had a slight issue with licensing for a software that is used for administration of the servers. The issue has not been resolved and all MSC servers are expected to return by friday evening.

All servers are down since last night! Did something break?

Yes, but I think it's on Steam's end. They are back, for now, but I dunno for how long. The servers themselves aren't going anywhere, just they periodically vanish from Steam's server list, even when in favorites, which is odd.

Could be the protocol changed again (speaking of Valve messing with stuff) - maybe we need to update, but it seems odd that they'd register at all, if that were the issue.
