Magic suggestions

Alright, I was thinking that the magic can be more balanced so this is what I came up with, and more ideal spells.


Lets say 100% is your average skill damage. Your magic damage varys on what level your magic skill is and your element level is how well you can use that element (preparation speed, preparation success chances and speed preparation between attacks).

Ice element: I think Ice should be ~95% for contact damage and always have a slow effect which can vary from light, medium and heavy slowness, and duration damage does little damage (~20% damage).

Ice Bolt- Does ~50% damage, 6 second medium slow effect. Uses 1 mana.

Ice Shard- A fast moving shard. Does ~100% damage, 2 second light slow effect. Uses 3 mana and takes awhile to use again.

Blizzard- Casts a storm with a large radius. Does ~65% damage and has a heavy slow effect, aslong as they're inside the storm. Uses 15 mana and storm lasts ~20 seconds.

Ice Storm- Casts a storm with a medium radius. Does ~110% and a heavy slow effect lasts as long as they're inside the storm. Uses 20 mana and storm lasts ~15 seconds.

Flash Freeze- Must be really close to one enemy, Contact damage being ~85% and freezes enemy inplace and doing crappy continuous damage (~10%) untill enemy is unfrozen. Freeze effect lasts ~6 seconds. Uses 25 mana.

Freeze Sphere- Just like the one in MSC but also does crappy continuous damage (~10%) untill unfrozen. Freeze effect lasts ~15 seconds. Uses 50 mana and shouldn't as hardcore spammable like in MSC :).

Cold Circle(suggest a better name?)- A ring forms around you like the ice elements. Hold down the attack to keep the ring up but making you immovable. Does a medium slow effect on whatever enemy that enters the ring, also does ~95% damage per second. Uses 20 mana per second. When release attack your lightly slown for atless 5 seconds.

Fire element: I think should be ~135% for damage, and fire should always have a medium duration.

Fire Dart- Does ~60% damage, very little damage during duration which lasts ~5 seconds. Uses 1 mana.

Flame Bolt- Does ~80% contact damage but duration damage is about 75% and lasts ~5 seconds. Uses 3 mana.

Fire ball- Does ~135% contact damage and little duration damage that lasts ~4 seconds. Uses 5 mana.

Flame Touch- Set a close enemy on fire doing ~145% contact damage and ~85% duration damage that lasts ~8 seconds. Uses 25 mana.

Fire Wall- Same as the one in MSC, massive damage for whatever walks over it. Uses 15 mana. Some enemys run from it when first cast.

Hell's Ring- Like the fire elements, a ring of fire forms around you in a medium radius. Hold down the attack to keep the ring up but making you immovable. Does ~140% fire damage per second for whom ever walks in the ring. Uses 30 mana per second and does ~30% damage to yourself per second untill casting is over.

Lightning element: I think should be the second strongest element, doing ~175% with very little or no duration damage, and if it does it have a duration, should have alittle stun effect.

Erratic Lightning- Practically the same as in MSC. Uses 1 mana.

Lightning Bolt- Shoots a high speed bolt of lightning doing ~125% damage. Uses 3 mana.

Lightning Storm- Casts a storm with a medium radius. Does ~135% damage and a light stun effect on whatevers inside the storm. Uses 20 mana. Storm lasts ~15 seconds.

Shocking touch- effects one target, must be close to an enemy. It does ~175% damage and ~5 second stun effect without duration damage. uses 25 mana.

Chain Lightning- Like in MSC, targets enemy in a medium range and does ~100% damage but has a faster casting rate. Uses 5 mana per cast.

Lightning Strike- Lightning strikes down from the sky/roof doing ~160-250% damage in a extremely small radius. Very long cast time (like a charge), Takes a long time to use again (~6 seconds), and uses 30 mana.

Lightning Wave- Casts waves of electrical discharge in a small radius. Hold attack to continue to create waves but making you immovable. Does ~150% lightning damage per second for whomever walks into the radius. Uses 35 mana per second, does ~35% damage to yourself per second and stunned for ~5 seconds afterwards.

Affliction: Probably the weakest element, doing around 40-85%, but should have the longest duration.

Poison Dart- A weak ~20% damage, duration being 20 seconds. Uses 1 mana.

Poisonous Rain- Medium radius, rain would last for 5 second. Does ~40% damage per second for 15 seconds. Uses 5 mana.

Diseased Touch- effects only one target, must be close to an enemy. Doing ~50% damage for 30 seconds. Uses 15 mana.

Poisonous Cloud- Like in MSC. Medium radius, does ~115% damage per second when inside radius. Uses 20 mama.

Acid Bolt- Stays the same. Uses 10 mana.

Acidic Rain- Medium radius, rain lasts 10 seconds. Does ~160% damage per second when enemy is under the storm. Uses 40 mana.

Earth element: I'm thinking that earth element should be the strongest, varying from 80%-180% damage and Earth having the strongest stun effect. Must have a high SC skill to begin using Earth elements. (Earth spells are kinda hard to name, so it'd be nice if you can come up with some better names :D)

Pebbles- Summons small rocks, doing ~65% damage per pebble (like a shotgun). Uses 15 mana.

Earthly movement- Summons a large rock from the ground infront of you and throws it at a medium speed, doing ~165% damage, stun lasts ~6 seconds. Uses 35 mana and takes awhile to cast again.

Spikes- Summons 5-6 spikes from the ground impaling multiple targets in a small radius, dealing ~145% damage. Enemys impaled are held inplace untill spikes shatter, spikes last ~3-6 seconds. Costs 60 mana and once casted, you'll exit from that spell (like volcano).

Rock wall- Creates a medium wall, blocking or create ontop of an enemy (like ice wall). Walls have 80hp or shatters after 15 seconds. Costs 40 mana.

I'm currently out of ideas but I might add if I can think of some more. Suggestions/opinions would be nice :D

Oh... thank you for sharing? :| I thought my paragraphs were rather short. Should I just made seperate threads on each element to fix this problem? Theres absolutely no "fluff" so I really can't make it any shorter.

alot sounds good, although I feel like there is someting lacking. Can't pin point it quite yet, when it comes to me I will post again.
