A glacial palace in the elder forest of the north.
Age had mentioned to me that a his idea of the concept behind it would be an otherwise normal dagger, imbued to greater power by a pair of gems. This has me thinking, that, perhaps, were it to be implemented in game, that one could quest for it in some manner.

_ Say, there's an NPC, we'll call her Katya, who, if possible, will take an interest in a player who speaks with her and also has a certain amount of small arms skill (although if that wouldn't be possible, she could just take a little talking to get her to bring it up). "You look like someone who can more than easily handle yourself with a dagger... Looking through some old texts that my friend in Helena some time ago, I was inspired to attemp to create a beautiful piece myself." She'll continue on, maybe stating that she's 'almost finished', but 'something is missing'. Then the player will get a chance to ask her some questions about herself, and come to find out that she finds the power behind thunder to be very alluring, perhaps even enthralling to her. She could then 'show' the player the dagger (small description in the dialogue), and it would be clear that there are a couple of places on the dagger that could hold a gem or something of the like, and ask if there's anything the player can think of that would complete this masterpiece.
_ Then, the player could do a little information gathering, and come to find out that it isn't unheard of for high ranking Shadahar shamans to enchant various pieces of equipment, as well as other items of less obvious use. Somewhere along the line the player will figure out that they could try to track down some kind of gemstone as a gift to Katya (because we know every player character is chaotic/neutral/lawful good, and most good aligned folks also happen to be nice, and it's a nice thing to do).
_ Also along the way, they'll likely discover some way to coax these high ranking shamans onto the battlefield, and this will lead to the players attempting the various maps featuring the Shadahar orcs while trying to meet certain conditions, in a bid to fight one of these (probably very powerful) orcs. Doing so could replace the reward for said maps, but also be something that would have to involve some manner of deliberate conditions, to keep any unwitting players from getting themselves into a position they'd much rather not be in.
_ Upon getting the gems (say, one from each of two specific maps featuring the Shadahar orcs), the player would bring the gems back to Katya, and, who seeing those as the perfect things to finish her greatest work, is extremely grateful. After many 'thank you's, or statements to that extent, Katya will offer to give the dagger to the player, as she feels it's the only repay the player for helping her finish something she's worked so hard on for so long, and been stumped on for quite some period of time at this point.

I am Age and I approve this suggestion.
