anyone here play guitar? Acoustic, Electric, any genre, country, rock, metal, blues?

I'd like to see if anyone else here can rock out. :D

Videos would be awesome. I only have one, and you don't want to see it. It was about a month after I received my first guitar/amp.

Meh, used to play base, still play accoustic (I've got an old Taylor 200 I fiddle with here from time to time, and play when I go camping with the pagans.) Still play keyboard too - better at that, but doesn't look as cool on ya, and tricky to power in the wild, so meh. I also play piano and with little girl's feelings, so I'm told. ;)

Well, I probably should have known people would post rock band/guitar hero stuff. ._.

but it's nice to see some people actually play acoustic, I thought everyone here either played just keyboard or played nothing.

I play mainly guitar hero, as I don't have a real one of my own (though I remember someone offered to buy me an electric one for my birthday). I don't know why I didn't pick up my step-father's acoustic, as I think it's fun. I've only had 8th grade music class experience (read: one week), though.

Well, learning the guitar isn't as hard as people who haven't tried it make it out to be. You could learn a bunch of chords in a week or so. Then you could try learning riffs or even songs. I've only had my guitar for about 4 months now and I can play a bunch of songs, self taught. There's tons of great stuff online for learning.

People try to keep others from learning guitar, saying it's for people who have way too much time on their hands, etc. I practice for an hour or two after school, and I'm sure everyone has about an hour that they probably waste.

I have tried to learn how to play one of these:

However I have yet to string it up right, though to be fair I haven't put much effort to it to really try and learn. Though some day when I am old I want to be in a rocking chair plucking away at ma banjo.

I play the guitar, both electric and acoustic. I also play the piano, drums, tuba, harmonica, sing and create shitloads of music digitally via the computer.

I mostly play metal/deathmetal, but also indie / rock / pop.
I actually recorded a cover of Eddie Vedder's Guaranteed today, it's quite sloppy but hey.
I'm a lazy bastard and I looped the 30sec guitarplay throughout the song, it's even sketchy played so the same mistakes come over and over again, that's how lazy I am, can't even be arsed to re-record for 30 sec.

It's recorded with a computer-mic so no hifi, but I like it that way.
