OHAI, lately i've been thinking quite alot of *nice* suggestions, i think.
So here goes:

Upgraded Dark sword (lvl 20-35/40)

-Could be a forge weapon, or a magical enchanted weapon from a quest. It would act sameway as darksword, just higher level charges, more damage, more mana consume.

Dark (dragoon) lance (lvl 35+)

-Could be another forge weapon (using [greater dragoon lance if this is planned to be released]) or magical enchanted weapon. It would act similiar to holy lance, instead it would deal dark damage (also possible fire dot), casts dark aura on the player using the lance or switch the dark aura into an AOE throw (casting a dark circle on impact, doing splash damage to nearby targets). The dark aura would hit surrounding enemies hard and casting it would consume a nice amount of mana.

1st possible look (if it becomes Dark dragoon lance): The polearm would look similiar to dragoon lance, except that it would have a small dragonhead on top of the lance. The the handle
would be dark with golden/silver runes all over it.

2nd possible look (if it becomes Dark lance): use holy lance model, reskin it to a dark version, decorate it with some runes.

Corrupted warscythe[polearm meele only weapon] (lvl 25+ or 30+) example

-This is a meele only polearm, its a polearm that deals either acid damage with poison dot or dark damage on hit, maybe with vampyric effect on hit if dealing dark damage. This scythe would do normal meele abilities, hard hit and maybe a really hard hit ability (like if we were ripping someone's soul out, only works on living things). Also this polearms would be medium-high range reach weapon, considering the hard hit ability a limited long range hit, similiar to pharaoh lance.

Dark spear (lvl 15+)

- Upgraded spear, that deals dark damage and possible affliction dot (the one used in unholy blade).

Dark harpoon (lvl 30+)

- Samething as spear, except its a harpoon and much stronger than spear, also with a knockback.

Holy gauntlets (lvl 15+/20+)

- Some basic gauntlets that train divination, rebuke on hit (kick or punch) and it would heal the player slowly (passive regen like felewyn shards).

Greater holy gauntlets (lvl 30+, possible 35+)

- Same abilities as holy gauntlets, more damage, a new ability that would heal the player on hit (like a small rejuvenation cast), right click for a holy aura to pop up under the players feet which boosts the players divination damage and healing effect by 50% (holy aura wouldn't do anything on enemies standing on it though and the effect would work on anyone standing on the aura).

Sealing hands (lvl 25/30 martialarts and 35 each SC sub)

- This martial arts weapon would have a nice variety of circle spells, one for each spellcasting sub. Either have this weapon switch seals/circles by right clicking or making it cast different abilities with many charges. It would have basic non elemental attacks (normal punch/kicking) and then the circle spells, each dealing fire/ice/lightning/divination/affliction damage to surrounding enemies. Circles would work like healing circle, instead of supporting players with heals, it would support with damage.
Also to avoid making this an overpowered circle spamming weapon, the damage each circle deals could be lowered down, but having a bonus effect of boosting other peoples damage based on which element circle used. (example: greater ice circle spawned, players would get an ice damage boost of 50% or more damage while standing on that circle)

Raging fists (lvl 25+ or 30+)

- Do some quest to learn a new ability for normal fists, it would unlock a new ability that would enrage the player with demon blood and faster reaction time. This ability would make a player use normal fists to deal a good amount of damage at cost of loosing its life quickly (ability would consume more health the longer u stayed in rage form). This ability would consume no mana. Basically this would work out like a bludgeon hammer rage ability that doesnt heal but consumes health, it would also make you hit faster&harder than usual while doing this.

Necromancer's staff (lvl 20/25 polearms and 15-20 spellcasting)

- Was thinking this to look like ihotohr's staff, just lower level and a new skin. It would only use the non elemental beam mentioned in ihotohr's staff description. Same mana consume and possibly same damage. Special abilities would be: summon friendly stone guardian (limited to a max of 4 in server), 150 mana each (15 spellcasting) and summon bloodknight guardian (limited to 2 only), 200 mana each (20 spellcasting).

*Ihotohr's staff (lvl 35+ polearms and 35 ice/lightning/fire) - similiar to the one the elf Ihotohr uses

- Basically a staff that works either like a chaos torkbow (random elemental damage) + defensive barrier on right click or use right click for elemental switch, making the players choose whatever they want. There would be 4 types of beams, one dealing cold damage with small effect to slow down things, one dealing lightning with small effect to leave lightning dot, one dealing fire with small effect to se things on fire and then a magic beam that would work based in polearms level, a non elemental beam, which is also less effective compared to the elemental ones. Knockback effect would be low
or none. Using elemental beams should cost some mana consume overtime while the non elemental one should cost not so much. (elemental mana consume = 10 mana per second and non elemental = 5 mana per second)

*Velend's staff/ Elite lightning staff (lvl 30+ polearms and 30 lightning) - similiar to the one Velend uses

- Lightning only staff with knockback effect, really small chance to encase enemies in a lightning field cage (similiar to the new lightning goblin shaman), right click would cast a defensive lightning barrier that dealt small damage and pushed things away with possible lightning dot damage. This staff would consume a small amount of mana overtime (8 mana per second).

*Ivicta's flaming hammer (lvl 30+/35+ blunt and 30+/35+ fire) - yes, the one ivicta uses with same abilities for players to use

-Make that hammer possible for players to use, it looks quite nice and i feel it would be a waste if we never get to see that in our hands (actually, this goes for every weapon the elves use, they all look nice, maybe excluding the dwarven crossbow).

*Ulectrah's storming axe (lvl 30+/35+ axe and 30+/35+ lightning) - yes, the one ulectrah uses with same abilities for players to use

-Read Ivicta's description.

*I know these weapons might be waiting for release since they are actually ingame used by npcs, but still... better confirm if there is actually any use for them in the future. xD

DISCUSS your opinions about the items suggested!

//Trolling items trololololol, ftw. (ignore this, its basically fun stuff i came up with, was bored...)

Beargodclaws (lvl 40)
- Samething as bearclaws, instead of turning into some small bear, you turn yourself into a beargod (epic!).

Wooden spoon/hammer (lvl 40)
- Weapon used by those who manage to achieve 40 blunt, it has no purpose to wield it other than 1 minute stunning friendly targets (including players in nonpvp environment). Said stun would block player from moving and attacking.

Summon hat scroll (lvl 29 spellcasting) - original idea from JM back in 2010 which i still think its awesome
- Summon a hat next to you that does nothing at all, maybe watch you die and vanish after... a Self trolling item it seems >_>

Slap w/ massive knockback scroll (29 spellcasting)
- Cast it once, a menu pops up giving 1-10 options (1-9 = number of slaps dealt and 10th/0 = cancel), then a second menu pops up displaying everyone's name, making this an extremelly fun trolling weapon, especially in places like bloodrose boss chamber ^_^

Master summoning scroll (40 in all skills, 29 spellcasting- 40 all subs)
- Cast this once, to get a pop up menu that cycles through all hard bosses in the game, pick a boss from the menu list to make them spawn in front of you. Warning: Summon would be hostile to anyone except for the summoner, extremelly effective on groups or lower lvls and medium lvls!

Vortex Scroll (29 spellcasting) - probably best trolling suggestion by far!
- Create a vortex next to a player, it would s*ck him in and throw him into a pit or make them appear inside walls. This would act friendly to npcs.

Note: Thread might be updated in the future with more suggestions :wink:

Just because some of the weapons i listed are found there in npcs hands doesnt mean they have to come from there. :wink:

And i already think the_wall has got too many items, giving more items for that map would be bad. These items could be found anywhere in any of the new maps or future maps that people come up with, personally it would be nice to see a new map filled with elves with those rewards found there in someway.

HEAR R MAI SUGESTOINS
  • Mice Wall [Scroll / Tome] - Cast a wall of rats. The wall, it does nothing.
  • Poisson Cloud [Scroll / Tome] - Conjure a cloud of fish.
  • Lolcano [Scroll / Tome] - A volcano that shoots laughter instead of fire and lava.
  • Lightning Worm [Scroll / Tome] - Summon an ethereal vermicular to trick other people into thinking they're seeing a flying dildo.
  • Stealing Circle [Scroll / Tome] - A circle that automatically transfers one random item from one of the players standing in it to the caster, every five seconds.

Eh?
Here is one of my suggestions:

Thothie's Computer: A large computer that sits on your back, like a heavy backpack, and can print out any weapon currently or NOT currently in game. You are able to decide the power of that item yourself, and will have NO limitations. The computer will also have a large folder of models you can use for said not ingame weapons. You may also be able to print out NPC's to troll players, like Velend and his annoying talking.

What makes you think i wanted the said items to be ingame with the things i said, its a suggestion thread, so i suggested something that would fit in it, in my opinion. I'm not the one who keeps the mod alive with new content or am i the one who has the final word on new released content, was just trying to mention things i would like to see in future releases.
Also i don't see anything wrong with giving away personal suggestions if there is a section for that, so i dont know why you even bother posting this.
And to point out yet another thing, most of the items i suggested are ingame already being used by both players or npcs.

ATTENTION: JM seems to more interested in the trolling items, BUSTED!

Basically i took that as an offensive reply, so i replied back. What i understood from your post was that you were saying something like "You give suggestions and yet want the suggested items to work the way you want to." and "These suggested items would be part of other peoples work, yet you are trying to describe how they should work." If i'm mistaken then i blame the capped words, because that sounded more like an offensive reply than supporting in anyway. :wink:

Also the trolling items were a joke, so i dont know why are people more interested in those than the actual suggestions that took me a while to write down and which could be used... In other words, was expecting more replies/feedback/adjustments @ my non trolling suggestions, kthx. :roll:

Actually this would be pretty bad ass. So you could cast a wall of rats, and then use your MA to punt the rats at on coming enemy's and they could do damage to them.

Another suggestion(old one that is, that popped back in my mind after a long chat with a certain person):

I don't know if this has been suggested or mentioned before, but what do you guys think about using the travelling system found in helena to travel to the past, but for a few different places? It would be epic to see new travelling options in order to assist old events such as wars.

I think that this would bring a new different interest in this game, it could also inform players better about the past events that occured.

Got another suggestion, would it be possible to make a "permanent" galat chest bank scroll? Like, you would get said scroll once (like a spell) and then each time u summoned the chest it costed 5k gold... This would be actually good since we wouldn't have to go to a town buy a bunch of scrolls, we would save time from travelling to towns every few farming runs and it would help lowering item count aswell (1 permanent scroll vs many one time use scrolls).

Isn't this a good suggestion? Y/N

IF the price was, say, doubled to 10k to compensate for the inventory space it saves.

Doing double the money doesn't seem that reasonable to use it, maybe between 6250-7.5k at tops should be ok.

Or like JM told me on steam, make it a rare spell scroll that summons the chest. Personally i like either way as long as i get to summon the chest with 1 single item, multiple times without going poof.

So after posting in gorynych's thread, i thought:

Silver arrows/bolts
new type of ammo, works similiar to holy/blessed ammo but it would have a few differences:
-Silver bolts would hit any type of creature, of course it would hit harder on certain creatures (lets say unholy creatures, mostly including vampires/khaz cult/demons/etc).

Srgnt Rehab said:
I smell another Wall drop.

Why would that happen? >_<
Why not just a rare summoning scroll found in towns for an excessive price...

Something like: 0.5% spawn chance in helena in merchants that have spell scrolls, 1% for deralia and gatecity and around 2.5% in any sorc_villa merchant.

I also back up the sales. It may help with das money.

BUMP.

So i thought on something similiar to loreldian ore... It would be nice to have some rare item drop (really low drop rate, like under 1%), said item could spawn in any chest and drop from any creature in the game. After obtaining 1 of these items, you could go to a town, meet up with a "treasure/artifact hunter" and exchange the rare item for epic random/unique loot.

So how's does this sound like for a suggestion? Good/Bad? Personally i think it would work quite nice in this game, would also cause some farming moments for some people who even bother collecting the uniques... like me. :roll:

bump.

the_wall2 suggestion inbound, i'm going to suggest that the frost hammers in the staircase part, get 2 different spawn points in the stairs, so that we don't have to put a fight against 2 hackers that can kill a 1k hp iceshielded player in 3 seconds.

If you do this, people will only have to worry about killing 1 at a time, not 2 of them, 1 is already fucking insane to tank & kill, if you happen to tank 2... it's like digging your own grave.

Do that or make them both lesser like the ones after ihotohr. Those are already deadly enough to kill people who aren't prepared for the map...

Another bump.

5t6uh.png

Shadowplague bow (lvl 25)
-deals dark damage, applies poison dot every hit.

THWIF.png

Frostwraith bow (lvl 30)
-deals dark damage, applies cold dot every hit.
-chance to encase weak enemies in ice.

m1d4R.png

Shadesplitter (lvl 35+)
-deals dark damage, applies secondary magic damage on hit (2 hits instead of one, similiar to how holy weapons work).
-chance of recovering hp based on dark damage and mana based on magic damage, or the other way around.
-special ability: triple shot, charge the bow with some mana for a triple shot. (ex: 50% less accuracy, costs mana, 300% damage)
(or)
-special ability: powerfull shot, charge the bow with some mana for an even stronger shot. (ex: same accuracy, costs mana, 200% damage)

LnT0b.png

Pyroclastic gloves (lvl 30+/35+) - first MA weapon to feature a long ranged attack!
-deals dark damage, applies fire dot.
-falcon kick! (same as fisting but with stun/knockback).
-falcon punch! dark long range attack, perhaps make it explode on impact and set things on fire. (works like a projectile that explodes on impact, eg: fire ball from burning one)
-passive ability, each time our attack misses, a knockback wave will knock everything nearby away for some damage and possibly causing fire dot.

K7c7o.png

rune blade of cinder (lvl 20/25 swords, 20/25-30 fire)
-fire bolt, lvl 20/25 fire. (similiar to those that the flame horrors use)
-cloud of ashes, lvl 30 fire. (large grey cloud that deals fire damage to enemies, doesnt apply dot)

88yoc.png

Ohmic blade (25+ swords, 25+ lightning, two handed, lightning damage only)
-good chance of dealing lightning dot damage on hit;
-hard hit;
- erratic lightning bolt ability, shoot a strong bolt on a single target(small chance of knocking enemies away or pulling them in closer);
-lightning circle ability, stab the ground with the blade, causing a large lightning circle to be casted under us, dealing damage to nearby targets (one hit only with chance of causing dot)
or
-same ability, just with a difference of stabbing the ground with the blade, leaving it there for as long as the circle lasts (similiar to acid lance throw ability, but with a sword, meant to last for sometime and oes multiple hits)
-right click for block and lightning barrier that repels targets away;
or
-right click for block and automatically cast a strong blue lightning storm to the place we are aiming (deals no dot damage, remains casted as long as you block).

Ohmic blade (same stats, one handed version)
-good chance of dealing lightning dot damage on hit;
-hard hit;
-erratic lightning bolt ability;
-blue lightning storm ability.
-passive ability, the higher your lightning level, the faster you hit.
(eg: 25 being default, 5% speed boost per lightning lvl, maxing out at 35 with 50% boost)

Qb3cH.png

Hailstone axe (lvl 30 one handed axe)
-chance of encasing things in ice or cause cold dot;
-hard hit;
-long horizontal slash that causes a large frost wave to heavily hit all targets in front of you, within a limited range (no dot damage, meant to hit targets once for serious damage, causing no special effects).

Hailstone axe (lvl 20, two handed)
-good chance of dealing dot damage;
-hard hit with small chance of encasing in ice;
-right click for blizzard.

mhRII.png

Round Shield (lol???) - 60 strength required, 30 ice.
-provides 20% cold resistance;
-provides 10% fire resistance;
-shield has health (perhaps 10k-20k?);
-passive ability #1, small chance of causing a cold wave to hit nearby targets, slowing them down for a time;
-passive ability #2, small chance of absorbing all cold damage from a hit, healing you back the amount of damage absorbed (perhaps raise the chance when completly blocking when right clicking?).

potions:

frostbite potion (aka cold brand)
-instead of doubling cold damage, it would add up 50% more damage to ice related weapons, adds cold dot to non ice weapons while dealing some damage.
or
-causes double damage with all cold/ice related weapons, all cold dots applied do nothing but slow down the targets.

Staticshock potion (aka lightning brand)
-samething as cold brand, just minor changes because of the elemental side effects.

Corrosive potion (aka poison brand)
-adds 50% more poison damage, longer dot since its highly resistant by most things.

Holy bless potion
-works like a brand potion, doubles the health regeneration with healing spells.

Holy wrath potion (aka holy brand)
-adds holy damage to all weapons, recovers some health from the dmg you deal with holy wrath effect.

Shadowbrand potion (aka weak dark brand)
-makes all weapons deal dark damage.

Unholy wrath potion (aka stronger dark brand)
-makes all dark weapons deal dark damage aswell, doubles/triples the damage on dark elemental weapons at the cost of health loss per hit dealt (eg: double damage = 5% of the damage is done back at you, dealing a 1k damage hit would cause you to loose 50hp, triple damage = 10%...);
-This potion is meant to be overpowered at the risk of getting yourself killed if the player doesnt take the right actions on time.
or
-keep the same concept except remove the health drain, make healing spells not work under the effects of this potion (possibly causing damage if we stand in them), only way to regain health would be using vampyric potions and weapons.
or
-if we ever get a death circle spell, make it somehow able to heal the player when under the effects of this potion.

Top prevent having some people say "yay overpowered epicness", make this potion a extremelly rare drop, even with a single dose if needed.

Greater vampire blood
-this potion lasts longer than the regular vampire blood, but it also causes the vampyric effect to be weaker. (something like 30 minutes, half healing effect?)

People are more than welcome to post their own suggestions on these if they want to. Except, if its trolling suggestions then you aren't welcome! :wink:

Note: Thanks to oyster and Aische for the potion names and some of the suggestions.

Took me a while to come up with this, so i hope it's somehow usefull in the future... :mrgreen:

Well i was thinking on suggesting that shield to have some sort of passive regen ability, like a cooldown moment where it would recover some health. Like imagine a shield covered with some magical ice, as it receives damage, it looses layers of ice that cover the shield, having a cooldown moment would probably be a good idea in order to recover some of the damage...

Besides it doesn't need to be breakable, could always make it unusable once it reaches 0 hp, then u would have to put it away and let it cooldown. :wink:

Sure that could work, once it reaches 0 HP its effects would be halved (e.g. 20% cold resistance now only 10% cold resistance) and would take like 2 minutes to replenish the ice, or you could hold up the shield when you're being attacked by ice attacks and let's say every 5-10 ice damage on the shield would replenish 1% (2 seconds knocked off the timer).
