No Monkey, it's seriously getting amazingly ****ing annoying. I remember the days when people didn't change every quote to "+1" or when people *gasp* didn't even make +1 posts.

It's seriously annoying, it's not new, post count doesn't say shit about who you are, and that's the end of the story.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that J-M pretty much just made a +1 thread starting with a +1 post? It makes me lol.

This means that we, the MS: C forumgoers, will have to find a definition for a +1 post.

As far as I can tell, a +1 post is a post that does not contribute anything to the topic, at all. This would mean that every single post from every single forum member would have to be useful to actually contribute. But what is useful? Useful can't really be defined here. Thus, in truth, it is impossible to say wether a post is a +1 post or not.

Posts that start topics can be analyzed in a similar way. Perhaps, you, MIB, find all the +1 bull shit funny. My conclusion from that would be that you find this thread a "+1 thread" because you don't share my opinion. However, some people do agree with me that the +1 nonsense is starting to get annoying. These people probably will not say that this is a +1 thread, because I am bringing up a valid point they agree with; +1 posting is lame.

It all comes down to this: posts can not be defined as useful or useless, but most forum board members will agree that "df7dfh", "lol", "hay u suke cawk" and "+1" are, indeed, +1 posts.

And I hope that most forum users will agree with me that there are way too many +1 posts nowadays and that it's simply not funny anymore.

I dislike all the +1ers, but let me break this down for you, Bobbo style. A +1 post can be any useless post, it doesn't matter if it's on topic or not. By creating a thread that really didn't need to be created (since we have plenty of people b*tching about it elsewhere) and putting nothing but a lame (at best) gif image rather than explaining a point in a well thought manner, you're really just +1ing. So how does this make you better?

At least the +1 posts have SOME hope of being kept toofftopic (which should really just be renamed “flaming shit hole”) – but what bothers me more is the sheer hostility of this community (outside of said flaming shit hole). I mean, this community is just plain MEAN. I don’t think I’ve ever posted in a forum so full of h8 – and I’m including the defunct LAGoth.net, that had whole sections dedicated to inter-member acid tongue contests. The guild section on this board makes that look tame - and they handed out prizes like clothing coupons and free club admissions for cruel zingers over there!

I think that if someone makes a stupid comment like:

they should be punished for it, however, i know that this forum has a lot of people posting on it so it would take a lot of time for an adminstrator to go round deleting all these messages and taking posts off people profiles so, is there anyway that someone could come up with a minimum character post, like so people had to write so many characters for the post to be confirmed.

then thinking about that, people could just post something like:
"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

Explain to me why an administer would take away free speech in a public forum, please. ESPECIALLY in the off-topic section.

People have a choice to express themselves in any way they want. making a post that only says "+1" does not hurt any one so why should it be punished?

The things that should be punished are:
1. Racism
2. Porn
3. Death threats
4. Bad words (which is already bleeped out so its not a big problem)

Please use some logic before you post. But then again, its your opinion on a public off-topic forum.
