I woulda used that model by now, but ya said you were working on a better one. I'll work the script around the model, if need be. Original idea was to have it launch guided skulls, ala the VGoblin Chieften's mace, coupled with maybe a poison cloud effect. But whatevah...

The former would be trickier for both of us, no doubt, but look neater. Another alternative might be a skull that has an additive render and a normal render (one submodel with each kind of skull) so we can have it glow a sec. It is more or less impossible to make it launch directly off the viewmodel into the game world anyways.

But if you want to make submodels with increasing numbers of missing skulls to indicate remaining ammo, as I once attempted, but gave up due to Milkshape's selection limitations, I'll rig it up script side.

I know clearly its impossible to launch them from the model, was just asking if the idea are submodels ti take away skulls with each use.

That'd work. Like I said, fiddled with that initially, but quickly realized it was neigh impossible to select individual skulls on the existing model in Milkshape, and there was no way to isolate them from the text end.

Could you post the status of who said they're working on what. Like in the abandoned WIP sticky for maps. That way we don't get 5 different people working on 5 different elf models.

lol, sorry about the dagger I'm working on, it will have to wait a few more weeks. IT will get done, just need to make sure my kid's room is ready before my girlfriend's shower :p

So... I gotta little girl model for Erkold's kids... Sorta...

But I broke the head off somehow... (Gods, I feel like a little girl who broke her barbie doll.)

Now, this model was originally for NWN, so it does that thing where all the bones default to 0x0x0 in the ref (herderp), thus you can't even look at it without first loading the anim, really. It's also scaled way up, so you'll have to go to preferences->misc and switch the join size to 1.5 or so, if you wanna be able to move bones around.

I also *kinda* have animations for it, but they're setup in such a way that the HL compiler doesn't really like them - something about a neck bone connecting to itself and the head bone connecting to the root, hence the decapitation. They're also way outta scale for the model, as the engine allows bone scaling to different meshes, but that could probably be fixed with some HLMV hacks. Even so, I suspect it'll just need to be reanimated from scratch.

So... If someone wants to animate that, she's a little blocky, but she'll do... I have a little boy as well - same bone layout. I suspect you'll have to do the bone layout over again anyways, but if you want the mesh bits for him, give me a heads up.

Suggestion: Why don't you take the Indian kid from the Wanted! mod? Since Maverick Developments doesn't exist anymore I don't see anybody really complaining. All it would need would be some skinning and perhaps some animations. If I remember correclty, he has the animations of a scientist.

Hrmm (dugs up wanted) Masala?... That there be an idea... Maybe even a better one... Maybe even that I could be using this girl's textures for said reskin.

I'll try to contact the model owner, but seeing as how it has scaled scientist anims and we're replacing the texture, the only thing we're really stealing is the mesh, so unless he outright forbids it... I actually have no idea where to start, but I think I know someone on Moddb who might...

hello, i have a question about this models... in my free time I saw the models that have MS, and i find a lot of models that have things or is of Morrowind, no is dangerous? if bethesda finds out about it, it's probably that the mod will be closed, but MS have a permission for have the models?.
and my last question... where heck i can find a manual about this page? because i not understand nothing, and in ModDB, a user said me that i can register in this page because rarely visit moddb, but rarely visit this page... i'm alone here and be the only user online... is very strangely, i feel like i talk with the nothing :?
and for help the mod... i remember a page that have a lot of models very very good abot Medieval things, like swords, crossbow, daggers... but i can't remember the name, i only put "download free 3ds models" in google, and i enter in the first page that i saw.

Are you playing on the central network FN like everyone else? Or are you playing on your own private server?

From my understanding, we're free from legal issues because we're a free mod. If we started making money, they could sue us because we're profiting from their work. We are trying to stop this practice and also replace the stolen models, but it's a slow process.

If you start on edana, you can find information on controls. You want to focus training mainly on Blunt Arms and Axe Handling to begin with, just to get your health up. Beyond that, find people your level to play with and explore (that's half the fun)

Not sure if that's a suggestion to find these models for the game or a request because he wants some cool model mods to download. The former would be neat if he found them, but the latter wouldn't really be possible.

Not sure if this is the best place for this but, i was wondering if there are lava slimes ingame? If not i would like to request a slime that has been retextured as lava, perhaps two, one that behaves like a green slime and shoots projectiles at players and one that behaves like the black pudding and breaks up into smaller slimes on death. I would prefer the former over the latter though.

monsters/slime_lava_large - Lava Pudding (wildanimal medium, 60x44, 750hp, 150xp)
monsters/slime_lava_small - Small Lava Pudding (wildanimal medium, 40x64, 350hp, 75xp)

Somehow escaped the alpha changelog. Think the large one splits into smaller ones, though neither spits fire. Can be arranged.
