So I got one of those beta keys to check out Metal Gear Online, the game is quite entertaining. I got my first really good laugh out of the game shooting someone in the face with a tranq round right after they pulled the pin on a grenade.

Overall for a beta its well done, though just like any beta they have some things that need to be hammered out.

Does anyone else here have access? I know all of Europe can access it without the need for the key.

What are the system requirements for it?

It's quite a good game, but I hope they hammer out the FPS drops for no reason and fix the cover system and fix some other bugs that have been named here and there, but aside from that, it's very very enjoyable, I love to drop magazines on corners when 3 people follow me, and then kill them one by one while they are stuck looking at it.

Also, if you want to know anything, just ask me, the main thing everone askes is how to slit the throat; you need level 3 in knife mastery and level 1 in CQC.

It's also extreamly nice to put their whole team on sleep with the Mosin, since a headshot will put them to sleep and give you a lot of points (due to headshot bonus and putting them to sleep bonus) and after that you can go next to them and headshot them for more points!

thats my primary way of scoring :D

Though my favorite method for really screwing with someone is to grapple knock them out and then plant claymore next to there face. Then you just sit and wait while someone comes in to save the poor sleeping team mate, makes me laugh every time.

I already knew about a lot of the stuff though, I didn't know what level of knife mastery was needed to slit throats. Though as it stands I am having a harder time grappling people, people have found out ways to get out if it unnaturally fast. On top of that lag is a huge issue, more than once have I had someone in a full grapple only to be knifed to death by the person I grabbed, or even stunned for that matter.

Though for me as long as I can stick them with a scanner I am happy, hell I don't even really play to kill. I just play to stick scanners into people, I have way to much fun doing that.

A good thing about any SOP skill is that they higher levels only cost 1 slot, instead of 2/3 like the other higher level skills (wich is a good reason to take scanning, I almost got scanning on level 3 myself).

I'm thinking about the MGS4 PS3 bundle (80GB PS3, the game, and either one or two controllers) for $500.

if I didn't already own a PS3 I would have been all over that bundle.
