Game returns to splash screen when I choose my character!

This is really strange, but for some reason, every time I choose my character in multiplayer if I'm hosting the game, the game shuts down that session and goes back to the main spash screen, where you can choose to join a server or start one, etc. If I join a server, and click on my character to select him, he jumps but nothing happens. Sometimes if I click him a few times, the session shuts down and goes back to the splash screen with the servers displayed in the steam box, and I get a "Reliable Channel Overflowed" disconnected error message.

Something else happened yesterday that was kind of strange that might have something to do with this. I bought a suit of armor in Helene but when I looked in my inventory, it was no where to be found, yet he still charged me for it! I decided to go sell the shield you can get from the dark caves (the level you can get to from thornlands) and try to make some of the money back and try again. Well, I had the shield and walked to the thornlands enterance. It started to load the level, then CRASH.

Can someone please tell me what I or you or who ever needs to do to fix this? I really don't want to start over again!!!!

yeah i don't know, but when you were in my server, some stuff kept popping up in my console.

Since the mod team has access to the stored characters, if my character is somehow broken, can they fix it?

Only Fuzzyfish has access to [FN] characters - he doesn't have access to client side characters, or characters hosted on your own (non-FN) servers. It looks like you maybe have too many potions on your character though. You can try creating a character on the Character Recover Map instead of Edana. If you manage to load in there, dump the excess potions, arrows, etc.

This is the result of a script error in MSC. It doesn't affect the game, save for a little lost CPU time.

The map doesn't load. When I choose to start an online game session and choose the map, then choose to start the game, the game session ends and returns to the splash screen... If I load it again, no characters show up and all I see are 3 sets of "Create new character" ...what the hell?

Is this an [FN] character?
Does this character have a lot of stuff in his inventory?
Are you trying this on your own server or someone elses?
