Hiya, I don't think I've heard any female voiced NPCs in game before, so I was wondering if I could give voice acting a shot, I'm 20, female and Australian, here's a random recording of me saying some NPC gibberish.

Hmm....that could be used BUT it depends on how it should be spoken and on the NPCs personality. Like if that sentence were used in an NPC just making chit chat with other NPCs, it could work. But, quiet possibly, do another one and add as much character as possible.

listened and didn't feel any character, like no enthusiasm. kinda sounded like you just read a script.

the voice itself sounds a bit odd, may be you're accent. which could definitely stick in a game, like one that people would recognize and remember.
the quality is good, good mic.

Good idea with the whole getting a girl voice character.
Just get deeper into your character, and open up on the next one!

I'm sure that's not the finest example of your work, but we do have a fair number of female NPC's who could use voice overs, and the lady I've been using for female voice overs so far hasn't been very dependable (Lady X's friend). And my secondary choice has vanished in a haze of angsty otaku romance (the Syko Fandubber's gal).

If yer really interested, send me an IM, and I'll send you scripts for Ryza (ghostly high priestess underneath Blood Rose), Kayle (woman of questionable repute in the Deralia Inn), Guilda (the old lady who runs the Deralia bank), Sylphiel (sassy lass who runs the Edana tavern), and lines for various cameos by Felewyn yet to be applied.

Been considering a female Orc in sorc_villa. I'd love to get Stella or Hamburger to voice that - or any other highly psychotic female warriors we may need.

I was talking to this chick (Quick Sample) to do the Felewyn bits, however, she's near professional level, and last I spoke, I think she was hinting that she wanted money if the mod wasn't big enough for her to portfolio with. >_> She's done a lot of small-time Source mods though (in addition to some big ones, including my all-time second favorite), so maybe she'll write back yet. :\

Anyways i wouldn't mind having a female voice actor, sometimes it turns out to be funny when it happens (like recent voice acting experiments, spam them much ingame for the lols)

You better not start another flaming bucket, that's what you seem to be working on there with those replies.
Do take note that not even everyone can take a joke and live with it, especially when someone clearly tries to offer some free assistance to a small community and then gets to read a reply like that related to themselves. I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't like to see that happen.

Sorry, Thothie sent me the scripts and I've got the next week off work so hopefully I'll be able to do it all within 5 or so days.

I really don't know who this 'Ryza' ghost is though since I haven't had a high level character in many years on MSC... What is the map acctually called so I can vote it and have a look?

Ryza is the ghost outside the boss room for Atholo, in bloodrose. Unfortunately you need to beat the rest of the map to see her, so maybe you could find a group of high-levels running bloodrose and jump in to have a look.
