Bluntarms

The inconsistency of Calrian's Mace as well as the Dark Maul is ridiculous...

I have level 24 bluntarms power yet I sometimes land a 19 damage mace hit

or a 30 damage maul hit... (yes I am sacrificing a shield for 10 more damage)

I can understand if they are purposely this strength due to how easy it is to beat calrian and the blacksmith...

Are bluntarms supposed to be so much inferior to other weapons?

depends on what you use them on, really...try using them on some skeletons - they're weak to bludgeon(ohshit)ing damage

Blunt arms have other advantages, though. BA and Axe are the quickest ways to get HP. Also, the secondary attack stuns enemies (including all bosses) so that they move at half speed.

Also, part of the reason the Dark Maul does "less" damage is because it also has a fire property to it that should make up for the BA damage, especially against Ice creatures.

I guess that is true... the secondary attack as well as fireproperty + burn damage makes up for it...

But it seems to only be useful against monsters that are weak to them...

Mario, perhaps instead of mentioning that they will do so low damage... perhaps we should all be going for a minimum amount of damage when you have "X" amount of power... that way we should be able to avoid seeing an overly erratic damage display for all of the weapons (just put "Erratic" before everything, they all wander by up to eighty damage easily, by the hundreds with a great axe)...

It's not the highest blunt in the game. Ya want better consistency, you'll have to find a better blunt.
