Foamy went waaaay out of his way to make this map's final boss impossible to solo.
What does work well, I find, is to get one high-end character with Blizzard to corral all four of the minions, and slow them, while the rest of the players take care of Venevus and/or Atholo's Crystals. In many cases, those 'omg I toss j00' bastards are the real threat.
Removing Atholo's invulnerability takes that plus enough teamwork for the crew to call out which element each of them is going to deal with.
Did manage to take down Venevus, at least, with only two level 20-30 characters last night, although FER logged off just as my last ice storm nailed the bastard. After that I just broke one crystal, activated it, and declared moral victory, knowing there's just no way to solo that.

Got stuck after entering the room where we use the jade key, the floor that's supposed to reveal the passage to the portal wouldn't move. I know the exact location of the passage but it just wouldn't open... bug or I'm n00b? :roll:

no I don't create my own server with cheats. I don't want my account to be deleted... Cheating = no fun... players on your server = no fun... lock server = twice the fun and twice the XP!
Bloodrose is a good map to solo on and get the XP...

Vampyric Poisoners sometimes drop bone blades, and there are hordes of them in Bloodrose. Pimpsta is just not being very observant... Then again, the Vampyric Poisoners do drop out of thin air... So...
yea... look closer! they don't drop out of their hands... they drop out of the sky! You can run in the cave really fast and not have any skeletons around you... all suddenly you stop moving just because the bone blade just fall out of the sky in front of you..
