Blade of Balance, V2

By popular demand, I am gonna get this thing done. Concept:

"Of unknown origin, except to the highest members of the Urdual Temple, these blades are found within the fissures of fallen Urdual Temples. They are rumored to be the Temple's last measure to restore balance in the region."

Goal:
Total reskin- UV maps and everything.
Maybe a little remodeling...I took the two halves of the hilt and mirrored them...It looks pretty cool, but for now, just reskinning is my main goal.
Will post pics as soon as I am content.

Okay, here is what I meant by mirroring the hilt...


Whaddaya think? Of course, if everyone likes it better this way I'll clean it up and make it look good, but I'm not touching the structure otherwise. And while it looks decent already J-M, it'll look like teh sex if I give it a real skin, as opposed to some plain textures I made.

i say it gets a random chance to use each element...

Yeah, squirrels idea would sound cool. But I think since, it's a sword of balance it should convert evil monsters to fight on your side for an amount of time.

Don't mirror the hilt.

Make it two good swords you gotta put together to make one uber sword. (So three models: one left, one right, one mirrored)

...and hope that I'm the only one old enough to remember the cartoon that inspires that idear:

Just make it so you have one black sword in one hand and another white sword in the other hand, thus u get both sides balanced (and the 1337 dual wield look) and yeah random elementals would rock.

i think the dual wield thing would be awesome....but instead of only being able to attack with one at a time you attack with both and do two seperate damages and a relatively fast attack speed...dual wielding is the coolest way to use swords IMO 8)

That would be awesome...But, can you code that?
Also, do you mean that I have the dark one (With both sides dark) and the light one (with both sides light) combine into the half light and half dark?

I think Thothie means you find half of a sword that's completely dark and half of a sword that's compeletely white, then you take it to an NPC and do some other things and he gives you the full sword. There's no real "coding" involved, just a SMALL amount of scripting ;-)

Plus I think I may have worked up a way to get weapons/items to activate by word commands now. So we may have those "power word enchantments" after all. Ye may be able to get them to join/separate via such a word. Or maybe they can only be joined together for short periods of uberness with such an enchantment. I still have to work up a global manager to stop people from abusing these things, or maybe just drain mana to join them, if I took that route.
