If you're sensible about it and act like an adult, the devs are quite lenient when you respect them and explain yourself.

wtf. I've never hacked my character (and only tried once to no avail), but that was quite a long time ago. Since you're also refering to a certain time in a certain 'temple', I'll also explain that. You see, over the years I've learned various tricked to not be killed by hackers. For example, since it's impossible to not be hit by your character, my only option is to not be close enough. As such I've developed a tactic to move out of the way before the attack finished and not take any damage. Finesse is the key.

My char? I dont think I was with you, these were only rumors after all.. Just seeing if they were real, guess not. Well, so after MS:C comes out, will people be allowed to play custom maps?
Play, but it'll just be a waste of time.

Do keep in mind that it is the largest cheatmap ever made. It also offers the most NPC's and monsters and chests (combination of the three) of all cheatmaps ever made for MS and I actually took the effort to make the "Fun House". You can't compare maps like "chests" with my map.
On the other hand, there are tons of custom maps better than my cheat map. Ever played ms_town?

The ms_ series is the closest any cheat map has gotten to a custom map. As far as I've seen.

What about house? And urdual2? Both are completely empty but do have a nice design. The map urdual2 actually has three puzzles you need to solve and once you solve them you get teleported back to the beginning.
There are so much more "custom" maps than you know, Kuroneko. As far as I know, the MS developer's definition of a custom map is a map with either a treasure chest or NPC (or a combination of both). There are quite a few empty maps and some are actually fun to walk around in... for not too long that is.

The great thing about being a dev, is that you can make super l33t characters with an unexplainable 255 swordsmanship, and its still not cheating.. ahh gotta love them dev commands o.o

Nope he doesn't, he just jumps out of the way and evades your attacks. He drops his stuff to lessen the weight so he won't drain stamina as quickly and therefore can avoid attacks for quite some time.
I've seen him in action on ehrm someone else's server running a cheatmap, yes someone else's server, because I would never do that, ever, nope, no sirrah >_<.

But damn, you must have that whole finesse thing down! It's hard to be able to dodge and jump out of the way and still get enough hits in to win the fight. Do you ever take hits, or do you have flawless victories every time?!
I just remembered, Achilles fought like that! They said he fights in a god-like fashion with a lot of swift movements and finesse. So have a cookie of Godliness for fighting the way a god would. Or demi-god or whatever you want to call him.
Why would anyone advocate the making of custom maps or cheat maps? Seriously man, cheat maps are the beginning of a chain of hacking from making maps to hacking chars. We don't need these maps: we have enough crappy characters as it is. For example, I played in a MS server which happened to have Kuroneko in it. Some n00b offered him a hacked weapon of sorts. Later that night, some hacker guy tried to wail on me, and couldn't because for some ungodly reason, my character is untouchable on the internet. Speaking of which, would the dev team happen to have heard of a bug that causes my "Achilles' syndrome (since it's on the topic)?"

Sabre, you are aware this mod has been in version 1.3 for over a year. The main campaign can only entertain for so long. The "cheat" maps are kind of like horribly designed free expansions. The items can't hurt the game's econmy at this point because the game has no economy. The worst thing it can do is get players to a high enough level to be able to pk others. That problem can be solved with a quick kick and lock of the server. I really don't see what the big deal is at this point. Ms is six feet under at this point as far as I'm concerned and is waiting on that golden Ms:C shovel to dig it out.
Sure cheatmaps are kind of like the "gateway drug" to hacking, but again, who really cares at this point?
