A new video in Production

Hello all, I currently have another video in production. I've already thought of the storyline and I'm just starting to film it. Here is a little youtube test video, or trailer if you want to call it that. There is no music though.

He's not. He's just a character, the Mentor to be exact. Megatracker is the main character.

What's cool is that Pimp's character dies XD

I just watched this movie, and... well, it didn't make me very happy.

After wasting 36 seconds of my life with footage of the Temple of Balance (which none of us really want to see) and the massive amount of words "Dridje films presents An Epic MasterSword Movie. Kaldrin the Warrior Enjoy the film.." I am shown this intro:

Once upon a time

Hellooooo, cliché!

In the village of edana, there was a Mentor.

Names start with capital letters, and titles such as "mentor" don't.

His name is Dradgar. He is training his pupil.

There was a mentor and his name is Dradgar? You might want to pick one and only one time to tell your story in.

His pupil's name is Kaldrin. By being trained,

Same story; you should make that "His pupil's name was Kaldrin." because it just makes more sense. The second sentence isn't even finished, so I don't see why you had to add such a huge space between the first and second part of it.

Kaldrin plans on becoming a mighty warrior,

Speaking of sentences, I feel I must add that the shortness of these sentences makes it seem as if your target audience is a group of small kids who are learning to read.

And protect all whom he loves.

I am not sure what the sign behind the word "read" (previous part) is. It must be a period or a comma, but YouTube makes movies so crappy that I can't tell. Either way, I think it's a comma, but that makes me wonder why you had to capitalize "and".

About time. Most of the people here can read faster than that. You really need to fix the scrolling speed of this text, because it's amazingly slow right now.

Okay, so after this introduction, my eye noticed the length of the movie and the amount of time I had already been watching:

WeissberV said that half the movie is text, and he's almost right. Almost half the movie is text.

The movie has begun! At last!

So now I see Kaldrin and Dradgar in front of the Temple of Balance. Dradgar instructs Kaldrin to kill a rat, which Kaldrin does. Immediately after that, he challenges his mentor to a fight. Apparently, slaying this ferocious beast has given him strength enough to fight a dude wearing Phoenix armor and other nifty gear.

Of course the fighting has to take place somewhere else. After some pretty lame (sorry) dialog, the fight starts. Why are Kaldrin and Dradgar jumping around like that? I doubt that's the way people used to fight. I think you watched the movie Troy too much, where Brad Pitt jumps around as if he's inside the matrix while he pretends to be Achilles. People shouldn't be jumping around like that in fights, especially not if you're trying to make a serious movie.

Kaldrin, who almost got killed, asks Dradgar to stop the fight and then they're like "Hey, I almost cut your head off, but it should heal." followed by the ending of the movie.

If you are going to continue this movie, you might want to add some speed to it. This was amazingly slow.

I didn't actually watch the video, but from what J-M has said, you probably need a better writer.

Oh, and as for jumping, I don't know what type of jumping it was, but if it was towards/away from eachother, that's SOMEWHAT realistic. Two people aren't going to stand still while fighting eachother (that would be boring) and while you're fighting in MS:C, you can't really move in and out of battle very easily. Bunny-hop style jumping would work for moving in and out, though.

Yea, with the "fighting" scene, they just acted like that. Do you guys know how hard it is to get people to do this properly?

That's why I prefer doing videos with 1 person or nobody in them.

Alas, I say don't spray or attack monsters and make blood all over the place, and guess what they do when I'm not looking?

I'm just going to put the video on hold for now whilst I work on mapping.
