that's a bit harsh, scamming seems to be part of every game.. i mean if your to trust anyone trust yourself and the person your trading not a middle-man. banning a person just because he scammed someone is not a valid reason. If Seafoam did trust Calcifer( Always argues in a server Legit) then this would not have happen but if they are always arguing(always) maybe hes not the person u should be asking for a middle-man.

Yes, it's true. I should be banned. I think anyone who has ever ninjad/stolen/scammed a trade should be banned too. MS:C needs change. We needs our devs to step into every piece of drama, and waste their valuable time!

The issue has been resolved; no further inquiry is needed.

I need the person who filed the AUP to come forward and retract it. Otherwise, I have to continue the investigation. With both parties coming to a resolution, there really wouldn't be any action. But I still have to waste my time until you retract. So please?

You shouldn't have posted in it in the first place if you want it closed now. :)

AUP = Acceptable Use Policy. They can be seen here and here. It dictates what kind of behavior is allowed and what isn't. This policy actually wasn't created to govern the behavior or players in the sense of traditional rules. Rather it was implemented to ensure we don't run afoul of the datacenter's regulations. Mainly things such as DDoS, spam, etc. Implication of violating the datacenter's AUP is huge since it can result in the service being kicked off. As such, RKS adopted a strict rule saying any AUP violation reports given to the RKS administration staff must be investigated and a report filed publicly. As that rule is part of the so called "constitution" of RKS, I am bound to follow it.

MSC FN, the website, and the RKS MSC servers are hosted on RKS servers and as such, does fall under the AUP. Someone on this forum was smart enough to realize that although the AUP wasn't at that time published on the MSC website, was still applicable. I am going to guess that he didn't know that I would have to do a through investigation since that's not exactly public information. He invoked a rather interesting clause in the AUP. Specifically Article 7 which has to do with fraudulent activity. This section was originally created to deal with cases such as forging emails, and transactions involving actual money. But I guess technically it could apply to those who agree to be an intermediary in a transaction and then renegade on it. I mean that action right there is the definition of fraud no matter how you look at it.

If convicted of violating an AUP, one would have to be banned from all RKS servers permanently.

It's also a BIG F*****G WASTE of my time to do an investigation for something the data-center won't have an issue with. Again, the the AUP was designed to protect RKS from getting kicked off the network, not for user conducts to be managed using it.

In short, it really shouldn't affect anything until some idiot files another one of these reports. But now that it happened, I fear it's going to happen more often... sigh..

Blah... Back from the brink, and this is the first thing I see when I open the MSC forums...

Well, I'm glad ya'll resolved it yourselves, but seriously... Might have to add "no drama" to the rules. Though some of this certainly falls under "Do not harass the developers or other users."

We also don't need the whole story of inter-user drama to do a rollback - we only want a briefing for debugging information. ...and we certainly don't need people doing the internet equivalent of calling the police.

All of you - BAD - play nice!

Anyways, locking...

PS. May take me quite some time to get to this other stuff - just know, still alive, I'll get to it eventually. o_O
