Walltest and Orc_Arena

[Thothie]

Walltest is a developer map that accidentally wound up in the betapack. There's nothing too exciting here, but there are some free basic chests, so the map is not FN approved.

You will not be penalized for loading Walltest on FN, but you will lose your FN connection until the server restarts.

Suggest deleting walltest.bsp to stop players from voting it in and screwing your server.

You may have to edit crashed.cfg to stop your server from loading the offending map on restart.


Orc_Arena is legal now. Only reason it wasn't is that we had no BSP handy with which to build a verfication string. Thanks to Keldorn, this has been resolved. There will be no penalties for having attempted to load Orc_Arena before it was made legal.






Those of you running ChestZZZZ.bsp, however, [strike]will be[/strike] have been hunted down and slain.

Ye still might not want that on a dedicated server though. I think the force-changelevel method it uses at the end may fubar under the newer version.

There's no XP there anyways.

Before I found this thread I saw the popup on my dedicated server I shut it down and zipped the map then deleted it then restarted and loaded up edana. And I don't have Orc_Arena so no problem there.

Next patch servers will write Edana to the crashed.cfg after getting hit with a bad map. Should help resolve the issue.
