I'm going to start this off by asking you all, the community of MSC, a question. Does VAC ban for anything other than blood-mod/relatedfiles and hacks? That you know of, I mean... I myself KNOW that they DO ban for files other than that, as they banned me an hour ago forever with out any reason. They refuse, as usual, to tell me what caused my ban; they also refuse to do anything about it.

Most help I got was, "You can send a support ticket in.... I'm a fag", from some sort of obese (I'm sure he/she/it, perhaps a unit/transvestite, is fat as fuck) asshole. I really hate VAC & their employee's for that, they deny a marketing scam... yet they say openly that EVEN IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS HIJACKED, YOU MUST BUY ANOTHER ACCOUNT. They say it is your fault basd on your password security... if my account WAS hijacked, it is THEIR fault.

I say that last bit there because I tested my password security & had security ratings go over it, maxed out on everything. It is A) too long to get simply B) different types of characters/digits are used, all over the place & C) VAC is notorious for being similar to early stages of hotmail with password recoveries. Therefore, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE... besides part of the reason I pay them $$ if so that *THEY* defend my account from hackers.

when it comes to vac you must never modify any files, and best to make sure all background processes are killed. This is how I prevent any issue on my account.

sorry to hear that you got hit with some random thingy that got you banned.

Nope, no bloom-mod under my belt. I was in the middle of playing TSRP when it suddenly said: DUE TO AN CHEATING INFRACTION (yes it said AN CHEATING) YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM ALL VAC SERVERS! PLEASE SEND IN A SUPPORT TICKET IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT yattaa yatta yattaa by the time I read YOU HAVE BEEN I immediately said.... FUCKING QUEERBATES VAC, THEY CAN SUCK MY DICK! SECOND TIME THEY'VE PULLEN THIS SHIT ON ME!

And I continued swearing, being EXTREMELY pissed off. I figure the lame ass excuses I shall hear from them shortly about why I was banned shall set me into yet another rage... I'm going to go to their headquarters someday... and piss all over the side of their building: those assholes.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention, I haven't even had a POS trainer (ie: starcraft trainer) in several months, they had NOTHING to ban me on.

It's disgraceful that you actually have to take such precautions just to play a ****ing game.

well people are tired of hackers so with more security comes more conforming to rules, then people don't care about hackers anymore. Its just a catch 22, you won't get one thing without the other, its either hackers and some non hackers getting banned or hacker rampage. Choose your poison.

For Bloom Mod, I used it once two weeks b4 the ban, VAC usually gets you within ONE week or some such, so it didn't hurt me. VAC, in their everlasting failure spree, decided to leave me ban. I WAS going to spend like $100 on adding new privelages to my account... I suppose VAC showed me it was a bad idea however. I'm thinking.... I'll play Quake from now on or something, a game that has proven themselves reasonable :D

My entire steam account was disabled after I didn't even log on for approximately 6 months (I played games just fine, turn off steam, turn it back on 6 months later and try to log on, no dice, your steam account has been disabled. Fuckers). Sent in support ticket + wait a week for them to get around to answering it + 2 days of correspondence and proving I did in fact own the games + jumping through hoops because my credit card expiration date was different than when I ordered it (well, they sent me a new one in the past year... that's not unheard of Valve) and they finally re-enabled my steam account and simply told me to pick a more secure password next time as they thought it had been hijacked. Well, if my account was hijacked is sure as hell was not my fault, I use an email address for it that I've never told anyone and I sure as hell don't give anyone my password.

Punkbuster is pretty bad too, I can't play BF2 because it will kick me for memory errors or "Inadequate O/S Privileges". Although I think a 0 minute ban from punkbuster is a hell of a lot better that a permanent one from VAC. Whats also annoying is that when your banned from VAC they refuse to tell you the grounds to why you where banned, and they refuse to present any evidence to support their claims that you have been cheating. I wouldn't be surprised if they randomly ban people just to get them to buy another account.

Valve made a big mistake handing there products over to STEAM. STEAM made it worse by adding 'Their own security..Guranteed to stop hackers in their tracks' All i can say 'STEAM Fuck you' You have done nothing but cause problems for the people that play your games and you havent been giving quality service out. I think Valve should revoke their contract to STEAM and find another processer.

I thought Valve created steam... i.e. no contract and no "handing over their games" though I could be mistaken.

I have -never- had any major problems with Steam. And I've been using it constantly ever since the first beta releases.

...couldn't get it working until six months after the official full release, neither could any of my friends - seven seperate computers on three different broadband provider's and three OS's we're talking here... Windows and women are the only two things in this world to cause me more pain than Steam.

Nice Thothie :)
Well... I'm thinking I may buy a new account from VALVE, something with Half-Life 2 & everything beneath it... it's like $50 or something I believe...

Of course, I only bring my thoughts to buying something from them again because I plan on setting up this Dual-Core computer of mine & actually plugging it into the Internet.

VAC waits like a month before it bans people it catches "hacking", whether they actually hacked or not, doesn't it?

Or maybe I'm just thinking of what they did with the latest update... So many people got banned a month after the update happened, thinking they were getting away with it... So many complaints about it (most of which were not legitimate), can't say I can help you with your problem, although you should still be able to play on non-VAC servers.

Actually they only wait a couple of days, because of how fast hacks & etc (bloom-mod) get around. Guarantees a large catch :)

I have my new Valve Package account though, just got it this Sunday :)
$80 and I got HL2, Episode 1, Lost Coast, and a shitload of other stuff
