*agrees that core 2 duo is better*

You might wanna shoot for some DDR2 800 ram and a compatible mobo btw.

amd price < intel duo

performance difference isn't exactly epic in size.

on a side note, why get a motherboard with a built in video card? It would save you money not to buy one, specially if your going to be using a PCIE card anyway.

Besides that good comp for the price.

the mobo is combo'd with the cpu, plus if my video card decides to crap out on me i can still play decent games with the onboard
:)

The "800." I just built a new computer; Core2Duo CPU, 2.13 GHz; Geforce 7600GS, 256MB RAM; 2GB heatsinked RAM, 663. Not too shabby, it handles HL2 at full graphics, with only one teensy hiccup...But that was while I was compressing my drive ;) .
