Rollback maybe

Hello i had not play this game in a long time

i just try to play master sword and when i connect on any server it kick's me out,
maybe its an character overflow

it hapends with all 3 characters slots (weird)


i dont know if i need an rollback or what
this is my steam id

last time my char worked it was like 6 months ago or close.

Well, I rolled back the middle one to January - but when I read ya said it was affecting all three, I went and tested them manually, and can't seem to duplicate the problem...

Try it again, and if/when you are kicked, type condump in console - a text file named "condump00X.txt" should show up in your MSC folder - paste its contents here.

i see that the rollback was not the problem
on any server i connect it kick me out all 3 characters
i typed condump in console and it dont show me any info because it kicks me out fast
i connected outside FN and this is what i get......

Mmm... Kayy... Not even a text file, not even a screen shot, but a photo of the actual screen... Somehow I suspect I'm going to have to walk ye through this...

Assuming you don't crash to your desktop, you should be able to get access the console after being kicked by the server.

Then, like ya did above, type condump.

Okay, now the trick is to find the text file - with all that text that flew by so fast that you couldn't read it.

Open up your Steam Library, right click on Half-Life, and click Properties. (Be sure ye click ye old Half-Life, with the red icon, and not Half-Life 2, with the gold.)

Click on the Local Files tab, and then on the Browse Local Files button.

Find the folder named MSC, and double click on that.

By now you've several files in this folder named condump0XX.txt - find the highest numbered one (which will be the most recently created), open it up with Notepad by double clicking it. Hit Ctrl+A (selected all), Ctrl+C (copy), then come back here, post a reply, and hit Ctrl+V (paste) to put said text into the reply area.


If you are crashing to desktop, we've other files we'll need to look at, though, usually, at that point your best bet is to reinstall.

He is crashing to menu, i asked him to join my server, he loaded his character fine for a second and looked around even and got the boot.

I advised him to reinstall the mod, could be a messed up ms:c install. If it doesn't work, i'll help him with the condump.

i think i solved the problem
i mean zeus helped me....

i just reinstalled mod and patch

and the problem was fixed

...Tell me if ya need to be 'rolled forward'. The last modified date on the slot#2 char was January 30th, and I rolled him back a bit before that.
