This post is now considered out of date. Go to this post for information on gaining access to fN.

Update: FN is being managed solely by Thothie while the dedicated server itself is being hosted by PY004 from RKS.

I have made this a global announcement for the time being, as everyone who hosts will need to change their connection address.

using one of Mikkel's old posts as a guide...

Hello everyone.

As we all don't know I now run [FN] again.
As well Mikkel is only lending me his DNS-address for now.

Here comes the part where you have to do something, this is if you already have to [FN] password, you have to change a line.

Guide. (For Listenservers)
1. Goto your MSC folder (C:/Programs/Steam/Steamapps/YOUR-STEAM-LOGIN/half-life/msc)
2. Open your "listenserver.cfg"
3. Scroll down until you reach:
Code:
// If you have [FN] access, uncomment, and edit these lines accordingly:
ms_central_enabled 1
ms_central_addr "mikkel.bounceme.net:57XX"
ms_central_pass "RANDOM"
echo Fuznet Mode Enabled
4. It's here you change mikkel.bounceme.net:port or blastnet.bounceme.net:port or whatever it may say to fn.rkszone.net:port
5. If you did it correct you will have this:
Code:
// If you have [FN] access, uncomment, and edit these lines accordingly:
ms_central_enabled 1
ms_central_addr "fn.rkszone.net:57XX"
ms_central_pass "RANDOM" // If you don't have a password, ask Thothie for it. Don't PM PY004!
echo Fuznet Mode Enabled

have any questions? just let me know.

Just one question.

Is that really you in your new avatar? If so, you're freakin' awesome.

Welcome back!

if your having issues with blastnet.bounceme.net use mikkel's connection for the time being. However it should be working without any issues, however I updated my DNS records again.

the problem is both of them stoped working:S
Worked fine this morning. then it just stoped working. only thing i have done is to uppdate the server with the non uber brawler isle map that i had when i started hosting.
But i dont know how that could affect the connection with fn server

if both aren't working then its something on your end, you password might be wrong in which event thothie is the one to talk to.

i asked thothie and i got a link back to this thread lol:p
and i doubt that i have accidently changed my password all suddenly not haveing opend my server cfg.

only thing i can think of is that when i changed the isle map some auto kickout thing made me lose fn acess for thinking it's a cheat map or something.

anyways i'm going to sleep now and hope it's gets solved tomorrow:)

Re: Blasto's in control again... this may or may not be good

someone or something logged the FNAdmin account off, this in turn turned off the ports...

next time you can just kick me off if FN is down, as whatever I am doing is not nearly as important.

Actually, I tried to kick whoever was on - since you mentioned your friend was watching videos on this, or some such - all I got was a blank screen afterwards.

it may prevent you from kicking that account as it has administrative rights and the other doesn't
