If that becomes our new title system I would like to propose a suggestion for Defense. Its annoying when you see someone use a range weapon and quiet possibly take no damage at all while the person using melee absorbs most of the damage like a human meat shield. That is why I ask if we could make it so you take like 5% or 10% less damage if you choose the Defense path.

I think he means the actual defense boost related to a title, like getting more defense (less dmg overall) if you take a defense path... I also dont see that there either except for some elemental resists

The point of ranged is that they take less damage. It was intended to be balanced with them not gaining as much HP, thus them needing to constantly be dodging and staying back, but the JoaT mentality made for incredibly buff rangers. The defense specialists will have their buffs centered around being able to take more damage than any other class. That's pretty much the point ;-)

I see.....and how will they be able to take the most damage out of them all? High parry? More HP gained?

Well, seeing as they already have a 20% boost to parry in that picture...

And yes, they'd naturally have higher HP as they'd be leveling the skills associated with high HP. Blunt arms and axes get damage boost under the defender path, where ranged weapons are gimped

From that chart, the closest to am assasin title is the shadow archer title? (unless the poison blade of the Dark Blade title is very strong)

From that chart, perhaps, but that's not the full list of titles. (Had me confused for awhile, too, and I was not happy with it). That's just a set of titles to show how the system will work. Titles will be grouped into what sort of combat purpose they server. Each step away from the center specializes further in that combat purpose, gaining bonuses in the class type and detriments to things that aren't in the class type (ie, the closer to Support you get, the better upgrades to support magics/skills you get, but damaging spells and melee are banned or cut down on)

So, an Assassin would likely be an offensive class that gains a boost in anything poison (weapons or spells) and be better at SA/Archery, while Divine magic would be banned and they would be much worse using Blunts, Axes, and possibly swords.

I hope that our backstab code ends up being better than TF2's ;)
